I told my neighbor who had never ridden a motorcycle that he needed to treat his new ebike as a motorcycle. I gave suggestions on the purchase of a proper full face helmet, looking further down the road when at speed, pay attention to road debris, cover your brake levers with one finger, do not ride the shoulders etc. Well I picked him up from the hospital a year ago. From what he says his broken collar bone, broken arm, damaged muscles, mangled fingers and inability to now lift his arm above elbow level will always be like this.

I remember buying an accoustic bike at like 24? Whoever invented the phrase, "It's just like riding a bike," needs to be slapped. I wiped out on some sand on the first day and it hurt like heck. I then fooled around on some hills on a construction site (mind you, this is a hard-tail, and then proceeded to go down the steepest drop of my life. Crank bounced off the ground, my feet bounced off the pedals, and I slammed onto the seat. I was hurt, but nothing broke. Now, imagine throwing in the weight and speed some of these electric motorcycles (with vestigial pedals) carry. Only, in many respects, they're worse, because you don't have solid foot pegs and the bike-to-rider mass ratio is much lower. So you're going to get smashed by every bump that much harder while going the same speed.
@UnfinishedManman12 күн бұрын
The fast ones are essentially motorcycles. Tempting to be able to get away with riding a bicycle with the power of a motorbike, but something has got to give. You are too big for the bike lanes, sidewalks, it’s too much power, but you are too small to be on the road with plated vehicles.

Another thing to take into consideration is that if you require parts you'll have to be providing a lot of proof and you'll be made to wait for their response, not counting that they will ship out of china so if your bike is powerless get ready to pedal a very heavy bike with the power of your legs for quite some time.

To be honest, they still sell the OG Juliet for $1400 after coupon, while this one is $2600 after coupon, and while 40mph and dual motors seems cool and all, I don't know that I could say that it's worth the extra scratch. My Juliet goes 30mph with my heavy ass on it. If I was going to get more than that, I'd just get a real road scooter with DOT approved suspension, signals, and security and such. 30mph is FAST on a freaking bicycle. I've been riding an UBCO Adventure bike for a couple years now. It's a dual motor, no pedals 57V 3.1KWh, I can corroborate what you're saying about battery life v speed. UBCO is capped at 30 for an everyone license. I live in a small town so 30 is plenty for bopping around town. It's advertised at 70 miles per charge. but I can say for sure you aren't going to hit that if you go over 25mph. Seems like 25 is the sweet spot. The AWD is awesome offroad, I gotta say this is the only EBike I've seen that comes close. Friends with straight up EBikes seem to break spokes when us 200 pounders ride them as apposed to the UBCO that uses light motorcycle parts. Really love that bike. I think, efficiency to power curve can be further divided. Since hub motor is running on fixed gearing ratio of- hub diameter to tyre diameter. And if second motor is applied via chain and gear ratio for either high range or low range. One motor can act as low-range high-torque for initial starting momentum, and other can give top gear range. (Even if both are powering same wheel)

@@canadianreviewer489 Dear Dev, I am the employee who is following up on your order. Before I am fired, I want to let everyone know the full story. We received your information in May. Then, we started to serve your order for a month. Finally, on June 3, you placed an order for 1 Romeo II and Romeo Pro II. We immediately arranged the shipment, and then you started to raise various questions. Customers are our company's principle. We provided solutions and responses as soon as possible. But you were unwilling to cooperate from the beginning. I have never encountered such a situation. After professional inspection, we immediately sent the parts you needed by air. But you raised questions as soon as you set off. You started to ask for a replacement of the entire front wheel set. After professional inspection, the solution was no problem. Then you mentioned that it would take time for you to replace it. I understand what you mean, so I proposed your replacement fee, keep the invoice, and then we will deduct it from your next order. At the same time, you asked us to give you a pair of brake pads as a test, which we also support! We agreed immediately. But you still disagreed and asked us to replace the entire front wheel set and refund $280! I said before that you need to leave the invoice for the replacement of $280, and we will use the invoice to deduct it from your next order. But you estimated the replacement cost yourself and started to ask us for a refund! Finally, our company proposed to return the car and refund you. Customer first is our service principle. I repeatedly offered to return the e-bikes and refund you, but you disagreed. You just asked us to refund $280 and replace the front wheel set. Why? You have been threatening me continuously. I spend more than an hour communicating with you every day. But there is no effect. You continue to discredit us. Finally, because my service affects your user experience, I will be fired.

@@canadianreviewer489 Since you hate us and our products so much, why don't you want to return the products when we ask you to return them with a full refund? Why do we still insist on holding our products even though we hate them so much? Do you like our products so much? You are not a dealer at all, but a liar who uses various means to get products at a low price or even for free. I can give up this job, but I want to expose to everyone how hateful your means are. You obviously bought 2 ebikes, and there is nothing wrong with the 26-inch dual-drive. As a dealer, can you test one first? We have been actively cooperating with you to solve the problem, when to raise the problem, when to reply to solve the problem, etc. Just directly confront him. We will not compromise with such hateful means. We accept your full refund and return, but you have always disagreed. We also want to know why.

I was thinking the same thing. It looks like it's built for a much higher voltage. 96 would be nice. The frame looks so solid. It's just not fast enough for over $3k. Oh, 26-inch fat tires. That changes my mind some but I'll have to wait to see if it can be modified for true vehicle speeds. I would have thought that street-walkers would be out of business these days.

Hermosa beach just put out more strict ebike laws, apparently theyve been impounding ebikes that are "off road", which i think because of the speed this would fall into that category. So the beach cities in general are cracking down now due to all the reckless rich little kids riding around their surrons and talarias breaking all sorts of laws all the time.

Awesome review. I have to consider this bike. I can't help but to marvel at the homelessness and encampments in California and along the west coast. Forgive me if this gets too political but why would any politician allow this to happen in they're state? California used to be a great state back in the 80's. Very sad to look at Los Angeles Portland Seattle Chicago New York and my home town St. Louis all ruined by terrible management and politics. Again, forgive the outburst. I wonder if it has regen braking. Potential every electric motor can do so but most, especially with bikes, don't offer it which is extremely sad. I recently bought a e scooter (kugirin g3 Pro) which lets you enable regen braking in the "hidden" menu. Since I found this I basically never had to use the real brakes and we have some very steep hills here. Not only is it so much better than using your regular brakes especially when its long downhill roads where the wear and tear on the brakes would be immense, it also recharges your battery while doing so. So I would really like to see it in a bike like this.

14:40 Power consumption doesn't work that way. It likely uses twice as much energy to go 40 as it does 30 and twice as much to do 30 as like 22mph. Not only do you have more embedded energy going fast, but the wind resistance really goes through the roof around 20mph. It goes up in near a straight line. If you rode this around at 10mph all day, you could probably go 300 miles if it is really a 3kw hour battery. In 10 hours of 10mph, which is roughly 100 watts, you could do that whole 100 miles and burn through 1kwh of electricity. Of course, that is maintaining 10mph at a constant rate with no wind, no hills and no stop and start and it would take 10 hours to do it.

At max power settings this bike will still do 50 miles. If you have a trip that is more than that all you have to do is use single motor PAS 4 for the end of the ride(under 30 percent battery) to not get stranded. I think even dual motor orange PAS 5(38mph top speed) can do 60 miles. Best under 3k ebike on the market in my opinion.
@omozeoyarebu44447 ай бұрын
Definitely one of the best ebikes at that price point. I do think tho, the Aniioki A8 dual motor is better. Since they pretty much use the same battery, Aniioki provides a option for a 52v 14ah charger, which means 60ah/14A= 4 hours roughly and if the charger supports 200-240Vac, then you could charge at an EV station using a J1772 to Nema 15 adapter. This would solve the possibility of ever getting stranded

I'm thinking of getting mtb e-bike so that I can also do mtb and commuting to places like the store for shopping and the beach. The beach is over 40 miles away, so an mtb might not be practical. And putting a rack or paneers might be impractical. But I'd love to have an e-bike to enjoy mtb as well as commuting. This bike shown here in this video seems like it would need insurance and registration since it goes past 28mph. Is it legal to ride as a bike or is classified as a moped or other vehicle?
