amzn.to/44eSOWB Get Yours Here! I searched Amazon for the cheapest e-bike I could find. I landed on the EB5 by Jasion. Did I waste $300, or should you buy one of these budget e-bikes too??

The industry is constantly changing, I know but 4 months later Q Life bikes offers a 26" bike with a 750 watt motor/36 volt battery built into the step thru frame and they claim a 40 mile range with a 20 mph top speed for $289.

I think viewers should realize that with pedal assist you are not relying completely on the motor to get you up the hill so it’s less likely to stall as it did on the video. This is a less expensive bike so it will not have as much power as high end bike.

I got mine about a month ago, definitely needed the spring in the post seat, also handlebars were way too low for me. Put on a new stem and 4 inch rise handlebars.

Handlebars also need to be swapped out for a more swept-back design. Straight bars didn't cut it!

Straight bars were great, I had to swap out the stem to get a better angle for riding.

*New subscriber Great video! Although this bike isn't what I'm looking for, I like your presentation. I'm 60, with arthritic knees and right hip, so I'm looking for something with more power and range. It has made me rethink how I approach buying my first ebike on a very tight budget.

Thanks! I'd love to hear your feedback as you put miles on it. I'll be back with my observations as well at about 500 or so miles.

Ok as far as the take off with throttle only..Try this. It normally works this way with half throttles. When you twist the throttle, twist it twice and hold. It should give you full power from the motor. I had to do this with the razor mx350. I don’t think many people know this hack.
@IamKingFace1Ай бұрын
@@engineerkentgaming1371 I have an e-bike now. And mines does not work that way. I have a half throttle but it acts as a regular twist throttle.

You said 350 watts. I have eb- x which is 450. Coming in mail. Do you think would be much difference. ?

a good battery is worth more than this bike.

Just bought a 500w Heybike. Seems like 350 would not be enough. 500 is barely enough. Was $500 on Amazon plus some freight. Strange that al l of the gauges etc are identical on the Heybike as yours.

I live in Florida where it rains a lot and was wondering if this bike is waterproof? I need a good e bike to ride to school but if I leave it outside it will 100% get rained on lol
@RiverbedRidesАй бұрын
The product information claims that the e-bike is IPX4 waterproof and can withstand spray from wet roads or light rain. However, Jasion does not recommend riding in heavy rain or submerging the bike. I wouldn't personally trust any of the electronic components in the rain.

Get a cover or take battery off. Easy. Good low priced bike. Switch seat and maybe get a 'stem aduster' 20bux. Huge help for comfort. I'm fl too and I just bought a second eb5. Praying its same as first one Read up on how to help bike battery last it will be worthwhile .

...any bike that don't got even rudimentary fenders don't get my vote...super crappy pedals...wonder why they didn't just wire the rear LED light to the battery, if the front one is? I could do without the COLOUR LCD - the rear light is more important...Looks/sounds like it's more like a 250 watt motor...

Do you think it would perform with the same result on trails?
@RiverbedRides5 ай бұрын
Gentle trails, yes. I wouldn't take it downhill or on anything you expect to leave the ground. The forks have a warning sticker on them that says "Do not use for downhill or freeride".

I finally switched from a 26" to a 20". It was getting too hard to swing my leg over and mounting and dismounting were less than graceful. I'm 70 and 5'4". Don't do a Biden dismount.

The problem with the bike design is they make a one size fits all.

Get your feet wet with this e-bike and decide what real bike you may want next season. Don't spend $1,000 on an e-bike. Go closer to the $2,000 price point or get something like this. Even $1,000 you may be wishing you went ahead and got the more powerful one with the bigger battery. My battery alone cost more than $500
@seanogorman361723 күн бұрын
Is it possible to upgrade the battery? Also, by more power you just mean more torque I imagine? Cause this one does reach max legal speed if I heard correctly

I was about to buy one of this. But on like steep hill wise you need to help it out on pedaling wise? This would be my first electric price. Was looking something cheap for the time being to take me to my first job and such like responding to volunteer fire department calls and such. I do have a normal type bike. But would like to try a ebike wise.
@RiverbedRides4 ай бұрын
The motor is just too underpowered to handle any kind of real hills. If you are already riding those hills on your pedal bike, it wouldn't be much different than what you're already experiencing. But once you're on flat, your legs will get a much deserved break.
@brettphillips52674 ай бұрын
@@RiverbedRides even on steady type decent incline hills? As I don't have a problem on a decent hill but steep one like forget it. Gonna push you up lol
@RiverbedRides4 ай бұрын
@@brettphillips5267 The bike will do just fine on a steady incline, but a steep hill like the one in the beginning of the video, the bike had no chance. Most of the mileage I put on it in the video was steady hills and the bike did great.
