I found it easier to install stabilizers with base raised about an inch from the floor. That way there is no pressure on stabilizers and you can wiggle them easier for a better bolt alignment.

Great video on the s22i assembly. Thank you! I found that it was much easier to install the monitor if you moved the swivel upward so that the monitor faced toward the ceiling.
@ElDiablo2232 жыл бұрын
Thank you sir you made the assembly much easier, I’d like to make one observation if I may, I took one of the small Styrofoam squares out of the box and placed it under the bike frame to prop it up, that made it much easier to line up the screw holes on the feet crossbar since I was able to wiggle the crossbar with one hand and put the screw in with the other since the styrofoam was taking all the weight off the crossbar. Best regards.

This guy skipped past a ton of headaches and made this look simple. Be prepared for a bigger challenge than this video leads you to believe. Screws dont go in easy at all. Wires dont feed through front rack easy at all. The monitor does not sit flush. This video is very little like the actua assembly.

I work on and repair these bikes. One thing to check is the crank arm "tension bolt." It's the small silver bolt that is in the center of the crank arm (3mm hex head). Make sure the crank arm is tight against the right shroud/belt guard. Tighten the 5mm allen head bolts after lightly tightening this silver tension bolt. Shipping companies have been a bit rough on the bikes lately - affecting the crank arms - if the crank is loose, the axle moves around and can rub on the belt guard or cause early bearing failure. Thanks for the video 👍

@@TheDasbull I just ordered the s22i today on the strength of these clear, cogent reviews by @tailhappyTV. I have a little trepidation since reading some of the "out of the box challenges" in various forums, and premature repairs needed. Understanding that these don't represent the whole s22i population, my question is: are there any other nuanced assembly tips that you could offer that will set us up for success?
@erikpreston23934 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much for your channel! I've studied it like a Talmudic scholar and am purchasing the s22i after your robust head to head comparison... I was wondering if you might comment on the 3rd position taxing effort, and if there's a lot of monitor movement/handlebar movement. Your demos look so smooth, so it seems incongruent with some of the forum comments that have gripes about excessive movement. I haven't received mine yet, but I'm 6 feet, 240lbs... so just trying to manage my expectations in advance. Love your channel!
@TheDasbull4 жыл бұрын
@@erikpreston2393 I recommend that when you begin assembly, that you "start" all fasteners before tightening them. This is particularly important with the front and rear base that require the large allen head bolts. I have seen a few bikes that the holes don't line up perfect. A few minutes with a round file (tool) can give you the needed clearance - this helps a great deal with stability and noise. Use care and make certain to properly tighten the handlebars and console using the bolts provided. The s22i console is big and somewhat heavy 🙂. Grab a friend when you assemble this part - don't want to drop it! Last but not least pay attention to pedal assembly - tightening direction (have had several customers not pay attention to tightening direction 😕). Enjoy your new bike! 👍

Great video, I was able to use it to set up my S10i. I especially appreciated the advice on the stabilisers, they were causing me problems! Only issue I had was the saddle part, I had to go back to the manual to figure out how it was attached, but to be fair this might be a feature difference between the the S10i and the S22i.

Hope this helps. I just found out that the s22i which NordicTrack is now offering on its website is version NTEX02121K12F. I HAD been considering Best Buy's offering (as they do have an option to assemble for a fee). However, I found out that Best Buy sells the previous version of s22i, NTEX02117NB. This leads me to assume that there may be, perhaps, even older versions still being sold elsewhere? So things like HDMI, USB, etc may vary amongst these versions. This is really confusing when reading reviews out there as they do not inform you which version they pertain to. The NordicTrack rep (on their website chat box) said this newer version was released within the last week. Today is 1/23/21. Hope that helps.

Can a 45 year old female who is semi self sufficient do this assembly on her own or should I seek help? What's the worst part of doing the assembly that would be hard for one person? Is it the monitor?
@TailHappyTV3 жыл бұрын
the hardest part is probably moving the box around and getting it out of the box, next is getting the bolts for the base on. the monitor is tricky with one person but i believe in you ;)
@originalmatrixescapee3 жыл бұрын
@@TailHappyTV I got through the assembly by myself. The worst part for me were those inner bolts at the bottom. I tried several times to get the threading aligned and not sure if it was perfectly aligned in the end. Also the delivery crew would not put it inside my front door, only into my garage. So by myself getting that beast over the threshold step with a torn lumbar disc was not the best experience. I got the base put together in the garage so I could at least maneuver it through the house where I finished up assembly in the room it's going to go. Overall I'm glad I did it myself and I'm enjoying the bike so far. Really loving the outdoor series rides. Happy with my purchase and your video helped me get it put together.
