Really great review, I'm enjoying your content. I would add to the NordicTrack as someone who is a user and really loves the bike, they do have some quality control problems. I bought the bike earlier this year and I went for about 4 months where I was not able to use the bike due to the resistance not registering, and the inclined decline feature not working. They needed to order me a new circuit board which took about two months to receive. I then held to wait another three or four weeks for a service call. The only other issue I've had is about every 25 rides, I will have the monitor shut down and restart and I ride, which is upsetting. My understanding is that NordicTrack has some quality control issues more than other bikes. With that stated when the whole thing works, I really love the bike. I'm also likely going to be purchasing the Costco ProForm rower and my membership with NordicTrack will extend to that ProForm machine making the membership that much better of a deal.

Excellent review. Just had my first experience with a Peloton at a Hilton I was staying and love, love, loved it! However, I also have a NordicTrack treadmill that's about 15 years old and runs like a champ. The mediocre sound system is easily remedied by the great stand alone bluetooth speakers I already have that would blow away any internal speaker system anyway - so that advantage in my mind is a wash. Adjustable incline, better outdoor biking experience and a $750 Facebook Marketplace price? It's NordicTrack for me.

This is one of the best comparison videos you’ve done and definitely the best comparison video done on these two bikes anywhere. Thank you!!! Having said that, I went with the Bike+ and got it (finally) delivered on 12/7/20 after many ups and downs of their delivery commitments. I’m really enjoying the rides on the Bike+ and I believe I’m getting a better workout than in an actual gym spin class, but it’s been 9 months + since I’ve been there. One of the reasons why I went with the Bike+ over the Nordictrak S22i is the maintenance issues on the S22i. Perhaps you can address that topic in a future video to dispel the myths and facts? I was a NordicTrack and ProForm exercise equipment repair man. The big problem is finding technicians who can work on all the different models made by the company. They've been making equipment for years and then you have the new stuff. My territory was in the Washington DC metropolitan area. When I signed up with the company the first day they sent me 85 customers. I was completely overwhelmed. There was some weeks when I drove over a thousand miles. I remember some of those new a bike's having issues right out of the box. It was a simple fix but nevertheless extremely aggravating to a customer to pay that amount of money for a bike and get your hopes all up and then it doesn't work. If you are still having issues let me know I still have a relationship with the company but I got to be too old to do that much running around.

What makes the + "better", is purely subjective. I was going to buy the + but then opted for the original bike instead, the differences were not even close to being worth the extra cost. Would love to hear your thoughts on zwift. Here in Canada a high end wahoo kickr setup that you attach your own bike to is about 2500. The peloton is 3500 here. Having said that I’m looking for a indoor zwift bike and wondered which bike you would recommend for that purpose. Thx.

I love the destination rides on my proform with the IFIT program. Need recommendations for pedals and shoes. I think I should switch out my pedals on my proform bike to help with my foot position.

Thanks for the great video! On NordicTrack, can you do scenery riding without instructor ? Like having a nice quiet ride with no instructions ...

Great comparison! I'm going to check to see if you compare any recumbent bikes. Thanks I've been told that iFit has levels 1- something. This past year I've had knee and hip replacements so need to start very basic with high hopes to get into the higher levels. How would you describe Level 1?

So, here's my questions: does Peloton update their different workouts? I've got a different Nordictrack and I'm finding that the variety of workouts has declined year over year. I'm also wondering if both of these have connectivity to download metrics (ANT+) so as to store all exercise data in a single repository? Are there any actual "live" workout sessions and do you get to compete against other people to help encourage your workouts? Thanks for the advice.
@danhickman72383 жыл бұрын
I've got a Peloton, and yes, they constantly update the workouts. The variety of content is amazing. There are several live rides, workouts, yoga sessions etc per day in addition to the backlog of workouts you can pull up at any time. And yes, all data can be downloaded and analyzed.
@sjaykay98843 жыл бұрын
@@danhickman7238 yep, which is a large and probably the major reason for my preference of the peloton over the other models. Hardware and interface are huge factors when choosing a bike, but what the other bikes seem to lack that peloton has capitalized on is creating community, challenges, and tons of live and on demand workouts that keep you engaged and make you feel connected to the platform as well as the instructors. However one feels about paying the premium for that, they can’t deny that peloton has captured that part of the appeal of having an indoor bike

Your reviews have made me do more research into buying a spin bike. I am leaning towards bowflex6. What do you think of sunny health af-b1986 spin bike. Do you think it is on par with bowflex or schwinn ic4.

Question for the Nordic, can you use the monitor for other activities other than using their classes? For instance, on the Peloton, all you get is a black screen with bike status, no music streaming, no video streaming, nothing. Kinda makes the screen useless if you're not using their classes. So say if I want to watch youtube or netflix, can that be done on the Nordic?
@lifeisajourney6463 жыл бұрын
Yes I do use it for body work out and yoga.

Are the studio classes for ifit or peloton live classes or pre-recorded/ programmed?
@SDA02713 жыл бұрын
One thing that stood out for me with the instructor led studio classes just from your video, the background with the iFit classes (to me) is horrible. That crazy looking rave background would give me a serious headache and be very distracting. The Peloton class, it's the instructor in a studio. All your focus is brought to the instructor. Great video though comparing the two.

@@watevergurl999333 it's a lot of money! I had a cycling bike a while ago and my brother had to cut some of the seat down for me cause it was too tall. I doubt he's going to be able to do it to a NT. Hi! New here! Right now both bikes are within $100 of each other with the standard peloton at 1195 and the s22i at $1099. Which would you think is better? I know peloton is more expensive with the subscriptions, but I think the live classes might be fun - but maybe constricting depending on my schedule. I’ve read some harsh comments about the s22i, and people saying the incline stops working and the motor gives out.

nordic track is a better product overall....however i am concerned about my knees........incline/ decline usage overtime will have a toll on my knees......also for a spin bike, .......you get maximum traction when you wear cleats....nordic track has only clips...In addition, i have a road bike.....i can hop on local bicycle trail when it is nice outside......the only thing that is a major drawback with peloton is the price tag...however the features i am getting(better resolution, wider screen, latest technological updates, sleek , chic styling of bike) makes it worth it
