18:49 DAD! HELMETS!!! I'm sure you are going to take a beating for this but OMG don't allow those beautiful and precious kids on any kind of wheeled device without helmets. You're a grown ssa man and should be allowed to enjoy your ride however you like but I myself have responded on 2 child bicycle fatalities and that's too many. I LOVE your content and you are my favorite Ebike reviewer. We need Ebike advocates like you and you have a huge voice right now so please amend this oversight. I've always felt most alive on 2 wheels since first learned to ride so keep those kids rolling on bikes!

Agreed! I just thought it was really genuine and humble the way the energy of this person conveyed the message rather than lighting him up and being a zealot. Those demeaning deliveries are pointless and fall of deaf ears and people tune them out or get defensive. This is one people can actually receive.

A cargo bike review that actually includes hauling CARGO?! Amazing! It's crazy how many cargo bike reviews don't actually haul anything. I just recently got the Aventon Abound, this seems to be a good contender to that. 20 vs 28mph option. "Slim" vs fat tire. Both could benefit from 1 more gear.

@@PersonaN007Grata As far as I know, no. I do wish it was an option though. While you probably don't want to go faster than 20 with cargo, you're not always carrying cargo.

I'm looking specifically for a cargo Ebike to replace my car when I move later this month. I think this bike may be for me after seeing this review. I've seen some others as well but the motor, torque sensor, brakes, and sheer cargo space may edge this one over the others I've been looking at. Thanks for the review!

Although I am out of buying anymore electric bikes this year (other than maybe one for my wife), I wanted to tell you I really appreciate your videos. Not only are they informative, but they brighten my days when I watch them. P.S. I have an Aventon Abound and am a big fan of cargo bikes (it was my first electric bike). My second, a Troxus Explorer, is for increased fun. :-)

It would be nice to see a cargo ebike with a 60ah battery like some of the other bikes you have tested out. That sure would be nice for getting from Malibu to west La during mudslide season. I used to live by kanan and P.C.H. thats a long ride.

I have over 1000 miles on my A8 and totaly agree that this is the best value on the market right now. I like to take long rides (50 miles) and with this bike there is no range anxiety and thats using throttle only average speed around 25 mph. You will have to pad that seat if you plan on riding over 10 miles at a time but there are lots of seat cushions on amazon. Great review!

I am astonished that Calif does not have a helmet law. In all your videos, riding at speed, in traffic, and on some dicey surfaces I would have thought a helmet would be essential. Also, would you mind explaining the traffic rules, as I see you failing to stop for STOP signs and red lights.... I know about the right turn on red rule, but video shows running stop signs going straight ahead. Would enjoy hearing your comments on this, as a former state trooper I find it curious.

This is pretty slick "utility ebike". The frame looks as beefy and smooth as you can get in this segment. Nice display, very powerful hub motor. Only reason I personally wouldn't buy this is that, at this weight level, I would need to spend as much on a new bike rack and new hitch even to accommodate taking this with me on vacation. Whereas something like the Lectric XP 3.0 can fold up in a bin and go inside the car.

This in- the- frame battery is for this specific bike only. In the years ahead, If the company goes bust or phases out the model , a replacement battery will be expensive and hard to find , if you can find one at all. I prefer bikes that use an off- the- shelf generic battery.

That's a motor scooter type kickstand. It's supposed to lift the back wheel up like that.

yup, probably for the weight you can load up on it as a cargo bike so it won't tip over from leaning on a weak kickstand

AWD does best on loose sand, Eunarau FAT AWD did good, also bandit x-trail pro. The best single motor ebike for sand so far is the Wired Freedom.

Amazing bike, mine came defective and let me tell you their management/customer service scores an 'F'. They try to blame the customer if anything goes wrong with the bike and not honor their warranty. Don't believe? Call their customer service line and see how professional they are. Fair warning to anyone thinking about dealing with this brand.

Great review, i have been impressed by Hovscos offerings there step thru Hovalpha or the Velotric Nomad are my lusted after bikes price to performance wise perfect, alas no way to purchase here in the uk. You U.S based people are lucky and spoilt for choice, getting hard to get anything with decent power here in England, especially since they took a few companies to court and prosecuted for selling bikes over 250w. Also many cities in the middle of a clampdown on overpowered ebikes right now brought on by wreckless riding in pedestrianised areas by food delivery bikers and sadly a few deaths of teenagers on surron style bikes
