I was able to sit in and touch a cybertruck in California last week. It was a great experience. I was impressed. My wife felt the seats were more comfortable than my 2023 model Y. Exit/Entry was great at the lowest height setting. I’m hoping the all season tires will be available soon. Thanks for sharing the video!

The firm seats idk my theory is for longevity, some people go in and out of their work truck alot or may have clothing & belts that are stiff and dirty that could mess up regular seats. About the mirror, they should've just done one that can toggle between normal and digital. Middle seat would be lit, they probably did away with it to save costs and that for some reason people find it more luxurious and upscale that it has no center seat(from what i think).

Tesla should get rid of the under vault storage and put extra battery capacity in there. Get the usable range to high 300 at least if not higher. Just charge more. People will pay it. Then come down with price as able.

The two best things about it for me is that we're one car closer to the Model 2 and that 48V might become a thing in their other cars and even the wider car market as it's partly dependent on parts suppliers being able to make money producing the components needed.

AWD @65k would be such good value. I just wish the interior was a little more roomy with more storage as was pointed out. Excited to see what aftermarket stuff comes out, the front center needs retention webbing or something epic put in place. FYI the interior passenger dimensions are the exact same as MY in the front to back legroom, only difference is width.

I have an early reservation for a Cybertruck and, in the past few weeks, I’ve been taking a closer look at Rivian. Their leasing prices are very attractive, especially after the hit my M3P has taken in its value over the past year. I honestly don’t know if I can buy another Tesla after the significant price manipulation (maybe lease?).

I was going to order a CyberTruck but with our built-in cabinets, it wouldn't fit in our garage. I thought about tearing ½ of them out to make room at least on one side of the garage for it but in the end, we bought a gently used 2,200 mile 2023 Model X Plaid in Ultra Red with white interior and a yoke. Couldn't be more pleased with that car, it's incredible. CT, maybe in the future.

I noticed hat the white trim was an attachment, not really integrated into the truck. I also was not bonded very well. The material reminds me of my grandmas cottage cheese leg dimples. I quickly lost love for it, but was very impressed with the model Y. I'm keeping my reservation, but likely will opt for the more practical Y. The Cybertruck range loss on the highway is pathetic. ...and towing long distance is totally impractical.. It's cool, but not for highway speeds or for towing. ...so what good is it?

Yes, because I open my glovebox at least 12 times per day as there's not enough storage in the center armrest, center front console, four door pockets, two behind seat storage pockets, frunk, lower rear trunk, side trunk storage pockets, cargo area or under the front seats.

@@dvader3263 Stupid excuses. Why not have a button on the glovebox like every other vehicle in existance? Can you name one reason putting the control to open it on the screen is an improvement? I can give you a huge reason why it is a problem. Glovebox is where most people put the indurance and registration. A collision may put the screen out of commission. That is when you will need your insurance and registration. Alo for some stupid gimmick.

@@wemakecookie Everything about Tesla is to reduce cost, regardless of whether it is a good idea or not. That will come back to haunt them, just like it did the Big Three in the 70s and 80s. They also had what people thought was an insurmountable kead in tge Nirth American car market, but let accountants rather than engineers start making decisions. That penny pinching lead to quality issues that allowed imports to steal a huge part of the market. Same will happen to Tesla. There are dozens of better made EVs to choose from now.

The range is the biggest problem with the truck. I also don’t understand why Tesla never seems to provide a place for your sunglasses? My preorder was based on the promised 500+ range as I want to use it for camping ⛺️ and towing. I also wish the rear view mirror had a screen option that could split between rear & sides. The model Y phone holder seems better as the view of the phone isn’t blocked at all.

It was cool as a concept, but I honestly think that it would sell much better and be much cheaper to build if they just stuck to a traditional truck body style. All of that wasted space in front of the dash and with the large angled glass would be better served as usable cab space. The features in the bed are great, but the angled sides and tonneau are not conducive to using existing aftermarket racks and equipment for people who might have considered it for a work truck. Honestly, it feels like a lot of wasted potential that amounts to choosing form over function. If I'm looking to upgrade my work rig to electric, I want to be able to transfer over all of my old racking and stowage gear that I paid big bucks for, and have it fit properly in the box instead of having to buy all new racks, drawers, and toolboxes. I also need side access to my bed to put things in and take them out, or to tie down loads. Even if they had just cut it off at the cab and allowed for a traditional bed, flatbed, or service body as an option to be bolted on in place of the angular bed with tonneau, that would have been a huge win. I think that it's going to end up losing out to traditional truck body styles overall because of all of the things that make it unique. It's kind of a niche style vehicle that has elements of a practical truck, but SUV practicality. They missed a big opportunity to offer an 8-foot bed in a "half-ton" that doesn't require a mid-gate. Fitting a 4x8 sheet of plywood or a sofa flat on the bed floor, outside of the cab, and being able close the tailgate would be a huge win for people who buy work trucks. They have the flexibility to do it on this platform if they change the body cues just a little bit. Perhaps they can do a Tesla "Model P" that has the same underpinning and has similar power, bed features, and capability, but in a more traditional pickup truck layout that uses common body parts and similar styling language to the rest of their lineup and is more OEM friendly. The platform seems solid, and it's cool looking, but it's just not quite a truck for people who need trucks. That's just my two cents though as a guy who does truck stuff with his truck and is hoping to swap his LS powertrain for a bolt-in EV option due to the awful Silveravalanche decision that GM made. Such versatile platforms, with so much wasted potential. At least a person might be able to mod an F-150 Lightning into a SuperCab with a 6.5 ft bed or Regular cab with an 8 foot bed, because it's got some shared parts with its ICE counterpart and similar dimensions. Give us cab and bed configuration options to entice us to switch to EVs, and cab and chassis options so that we can fit them with work truck platforms. I'm still waiting for the day that I get to see an EV powered wheel snatcher towing a broken down ICE vehicle. I kinda thought Tesla might offer the platform to do it first, but I guess that I may have overestimated their desire for practical applications. Atlis is looking like the best option...if the XT ever launches. I hope that these manufacturers start paying attention to how work trucks are used sooner than later.

I got my CT Foundation Series Vin just over a week ago and then got the e mail it was here in San Diego at the delivery center for pick up Wednesday a week ago. I didn’t even go to the delivery center and sent them an e mail telling them I was going to let it go. I’ve decided it’s not worth the extra $20,000 for a product that isn’t quite yet ready for prime time. I’ll wait for a regular priced regular edition. Tesla will be making many improvements and corrections over the next 6-12 months as they have done with all of the other models when they are first released.

If they had delivered before all the reviews about charging curve and actual range I’d have taken delivery. Through those I realized these FS are going to be looked upon like the 4680 model Y and will not be very desirable after paying a $20,000 premium for it. Tesla had to deliver on the excellent ride quality but they know the batteries are not all the way there for a 500 mile truck. They're keeping prices high now to limit production. Lets see if they do a "mini truck" along with the compact car. By the time Cybertruck production hits stride in 2026, there may well be designs for a CT2. Or maybe some kind of refresh with new batteries & longer range in 2027. People saw the release day as the end of a long journey for Cybertruck. It was really just the beginning. I will have to put a pin in my use case for a rental until RWD comes out and I can see what rental prices look like. I'd almost rather get an X for the family and pay for it renting out the CT more often.

In my opinion you're pretty much paying the extra $70,000.00 ( compared to a $50,000.00 truck) for the brand... I honestly would rather have a Toyota Tacoma. Tesla, I am by no means a vehicle manufacturer so my opinion doesn't hold any water but I think that there is a lot of room left for improvement on this vehicle. I'm not impressed. It just seems to me it's a waste of an additional $70,000.00 just to drive around a brand.

Minivan front end, takes more time to open the door than an 80's pickup and children would have better luck attaching the body panels. It's no wonder Tesla can't even do a steering wheel right

You Live In Your Car, And yet you insisted on getting the smaller Tesla???? You really need to learn to invest in yourself for when it is realistic and the long term. Instead of Penny Pinching Everything. I am 59. Learn to splurge in things that are Important. When you have the money (Which You Do!!!!!!)

No one buys a truck, especially a Cyber Truck, as a work truck. Average truck in texas is $100K average work truck $30K. No one even put groceries in the bed never mind wood and pipes.

@@TailosiveEV In my business we have 13-15 trucks on the road every day (pool cleaning) and $30k is the most we would ever pay for a truck. At 60K we would be bankrupt in a year. Can you imagine how much we would have to charge to clean a pool if I had 15 $100k cyber trucks in our fleet. Cyber Truck is NOT a work truck. It is a status symbol. If a contractor showed up in a $100K vehicle I would send him away.
