@@jerryh2954 Definetly not. I guess guardpulling lasso/spiderguard players aiming for advantages arent my thing. I do believe nogi may become even more popular if they can have a format that encourage dynamic explosive grappling.

@@andersnilssondvm If they get the right announcers it has a good chance. Guys like Gordon Ryan, doing the ring side comments make matches followable. If they want people to tune in, this would be the level of commentary they should shoot for. Just like Joe was for the UFC. Before Joe, UFC was struggling. And, they need to be consistent. They should always show the matches with commentary, don't even release the events without it. How often to you see Basketball or baseball without commentary? Never! If they want to make this a paying sport that makes big dollars they need to add consistent commentary.

@@jerryh2954 To me the problem is in the action itself, not whos commenting. I wouldnt watch this match again even if Trump, Snoop and Jackie Chan did meth and sat next to Gordon commenting this match. To me a change of rules would help. Penalties every 30 seconds for inaction, 3 penalties is dq, guardpull gives 5 minus points, no advantages at all. If nobody score points in 5 minutes is dq, change mat to pit et cetera. Award classic jiu jitsu. Nobody wants to see 2 monkey double guardpull and go 50/50 for full match. Just my two cents.

Holy ibjjf is unwatchable in comparison to cji and adcc. Why do you give 2 points for attacking a straight ankle and dropping into SLX.

I can only assume you’re referring to 5:00. Tainan didn’t drop back to SLX, he was swept, and at no point did he attack a straight ankle lock. He also didn’t receive 2 points for this, his opponent received the two points for the sweep. Tainan’s subsequent 2 points came from the toehold attempt which forced his opponent to roll out of bounds. It is a long established rule that if you attack a submission which causes your opponent to roll out of bounds in the process of defending, the match resets standing and the attacker receives 2 points. At least know the rules properly if you’re going to criticise.
