...and my mind go back to some good, old days, on the wings of your performance... and it couldn't be different, because your arrangement and playing are light like a feather... and, as usual, they diffuse around the bright, warm light they're made of! It's amazing how you can take a pop-dance classic and turn it into a jazz piece which totally makes sense by its own! I wish you a great everything, Jake! There is a Duke Ellington quote about there being two kinds of music - Good music and the other kind. I seem to remember a variation, which is good music and good music played badly. This song is a stunning example of taking not so good music and making great music out of it through arrangement, creativity and musical ability. Another way of thinking is there is a good song buried in every bad song, trying to get out. Jake, if you are a genius, it is in your ability to do precisely that.
