Taipan Veteran is an underrated but a great air rifle from the Czech Republic. I got a chance to see their assembly shop some time back. Will share that video soon.

I have the standard in .25 Cal, from Utah Airguns. I added the DonnyFL Sumo on it, and it is very accurate out to 100 yards. I haven’t shot it farther yet. I don’t understand why they aren’t more popular!? Love, love, love this gun!!!😊

It’s rear cocking a lot of guys like a mid cocking gun . Taipan is coming out with a mid cocking one this year .

I must say that's a good-looking Bullpup. You hit the center of the target so many times I swear I thought I was going to see it bleed!!! But seriously I'd like to see it do some long range shooting. At that speed I would almost expect it to destabilize the pellet. At least a 18.13 grain. But I've been wrong before. Wait a minute I've been wrong many times. At least that's what the lady would tell me. Lol, I am really starting to like that new ballistic chronograph. That you are using. Light and convenient. Might be trading in the Caldwell or at least giving it to a family member. I must say you and a few KZbinrs really put it out there. I know it's a business. I would like to say hats off to you and a few of the guys who do it! It's appreciated. I've said this before but guys like you really help guys like me take the guesswork out of our purchasing and help us make the right choices. At least most of time. Haha. Richard Campbell Thank you ! The Taipan accuracy at 100 yds was super impressive . I shot a razor blade 5 times and split the pellet 5 times that’s accurate !! I will do a long Range video soon .

Love mine! I wasn't aware of these until getting on Utah's website. Have always bought Daystate and Fx in the past. I'm also blown away with it. They hooked me up with one just like yours in the review. 22 cal with a Donnyfl Tatsu, Athlon 6×24×50 Midas Tac scope. And in that Rare green stock. My new precious. Excellent video, I have the veteran standard 22, with jsb 18 grain I get about 90 shots, from 250 to 100 bar with a speed of 840 Fps, it's fantastic

I love the gun but the lever position and no cheek riser either, guess you cannot have it all, it is nice though. The iguana hunter loves his and has slayed a many of dragons with his taipan, nice review!

Peter King same for me, would get it if not for that rear cocking lever, the Edgun will be my next one, it has the cocking lever up in the middle. 👍👍

Yup, move that lever to the middle, and it is perfect. CZ barrel is the secret sauce on these. I don't know what they do with their barrels, but I have several CZ powder burners, and they are all ridiculously accurate.

@@dukebeach1 CZ does make some super fine rifles, ive been wanting the CZ 22 magnum for some time now, i didnt know thats who made the taipan barrel wow!

@@Don.E.63 I know for a while it was either Lothar Walther or CZ, depending on which model you ordered, but that was a couple of years ago when I almost bought one. I just can't bring myself to get the bull pub without a cheek riser or central cocking lever. They just look uncomfortable. That being said, I have not handled one. So, I need to take a drive down to Utah Air Guns and handle some of them before I pass judgment. It seems that folks either love bull pups or hate them. No in between. I have a CZ 455 American combo with the 22LR barrel and the 17 HMR barrel. The first month I had it, I shot nothing but the 22LR and it is fantastically accurate out to 75 yards with just plinking ammo. Opens up a tad at 100, but again, crappy ammo, but still about 2 MOA. I put the 17HRM barrel on, and it is amazing. Horandy 17 gr V-Max, sub-MOA without trying out to 100. It is freakish. It's the gun, not me. I'm not that good of a shot. They make amazing rifles for sure. You should get one for certain.

I have the same gun ... it shoots pellets laser accurate, but with slugs they do not group.... but shot many doves with slugs !

I'm in the market for another 22 for backyard pesting. Right now I have an FX Impact in 30 cal that I use for coyotes and an FX Dreamline Tactical for smaller stuff. I'm looking to replace the Dreamline Tactical because it's kinda long with that 600mm barrel. I was originally thinking about an FX Impact compact but I am really intrigued by this Taipan. What are your thoughts, Impact compact or this Taipan? Thanks..

Well i have ordered a superior fx smooth twist but I'm restricted to sub 12 foot pounds I have it set at dead on 11.9 foot pounds with a 16 grain air arms pellets

9:09 - The bigger elephant in the room is actually the Lothar Walther barrel that is being used on this gun. Not CZ.

"CZ" on the receiver does not represent the barrel. The CZ barrels have 3 dimples in a row close to where it screws into the receiver. I'm not sure what they're for but I've read that it's part of how the barrel mounts in CZ's own guns. Apparently though, as of last month, Taipan Veterans are back to shipping CZ barrels. Edit 9-19-2024: I just want to update my comment as I learn more about these guns. The dimples on the barrels as I stated above were only present on the barrels of the Taipan Mutant. The barrels on those guns are held into the receiver with a set screw. The dimples on the barrel was used as an indicator of the proper orientation when installing the barrel. In any case though, the gun reviewed in this video still had a LW barrel. This video came out in the brief period of about a year when all of the Taipan Veterans came with LW barrels as Taipan was having issues with supplies and getting the CZ barrels.

The prestige of FX X barrel is gone by this accuracy but check piece and cocking lever too baçk inconvenience for fast cocking for fast shooting is the problem
