The MRT station is on the blue line at Yongning MRT Station-(00:49) Map link from MRT to Chaoshan Trail Head maps.app.goo.gl/bHX19XioBibeiAUAA. I’d suggest setting aside at least half a day to explore Chaoshan Trail and Temple. If you have more time, a full day lets you check out the other trails and local caves too. @@AmaiwanTraveler thank you, it is really useful because when in Taipei I suffer a little - I do not like cities. so next time I must stay in Taipei for whatever reason, I ll make sure I ll check out the spot and hang out the trail. any hostel or guesthouse ner the MRT would also be useful. when you plan to cover Taitung County get in touch I can show you some trails around here

@@istcs1158 I don’t know of any hostels or guesthouses near Yongning Station. However, there’s a hot spring hotel just one stop away in Tucheng called the Tucheng Yuma Hot Spring Motel. I’ve never been to Taitung County, but if I ever head that way, I’ll be sure to reach out to you. Thanks again.
