HI! My family is Taiwanese, and I've been to Taiwan half a dozen times; I'm glad to see that you two are enjoying it so much! Some of my favorite foods I would definitely recommend trying: -Beef noodle soup: Taiwan's national dish -Oyster vermicelli: my personal favorite -Small sausage in large sausage: a pork sausage wrapped in a sticky rice sausage, kind of like Taiwan's hotdog

Allen Lin thank you for watching! And thanks for the suggestions! We have been enjoying Taiwan so much! We are currently living in Kaohsiung, let us know if you have any suggestions for things to do or see!

@@AlongWeGo Drink lots of bubble tea for me! I think something in the Kaohsiung area that often gets missed or overlooked is Fo Guang Shan. It's one of the few places you can see a (purported) relic of Buddha.

Shilin night market is not as popular as it used to be even before the pandemic. There were reports some dishonest fruit stand were price gouging targeting tourists in recent years. Raohe and Ningxia night markets are more popular now. Michelin Bib Gourmet recommends several food stands and eateries in Raohe, Ningxia, and Tonghua/Linjiang night markets as well. Now that you are in Kaohsiung, you can try the numerous "dedicated" night markets there in southern Taiwan if you haven't already. They are "grander" than the street-side style markets you see in Taipei. Have fun!
@what-jn4bu4 жыл бұрын
Oof before it used to have less people around train stations or places now the virus is here more crowded people but it's not a problem as well
@fountain3944 жыл бұрын
Shilin night market is not the biggest one. The biggest night market in Taiwan which is called Fangchia (逢甲)is located in Taichung(central Taiwan, the second largest city in Taiwan). When you get into the night market. Just be careful it is easy to get lost.

Please watch your weight before it getting too far. It's hard to keep weight in Taiwan.
