That’s the supply side, they can also give incitation to producers to pump more, or reduce demand with credits to those who shift to clean energies. But in fine, demand remains strong enough to pull prices significantly lower without external intervention.

Yeah crazy how deflation has upset the big Nasdaq stocks. And yet gold and oil are happy, as you said they would be with rate cut enthusiasm. I bought into BLDR but probably near the highs of today. I figure housing construction stocks will like the deflation/rate cuts for at least a month
