Jesus, dude, I wish you would make more videos. You have such a unique and relaxed style. I could watch them all day. You've made me fall in love with a city I've never been to, but something in me keeps saying that I will end up there one day. Like you said, I also have had this vision, since I was a kid, that I would end up in a cosy cabin in the mountains somewhere in Japan, away from all the noise, but I think that Taiwan is actually the Japan that I had envisioned. I completely get what you you were talking about there. Also, wouldn't be a Vaans World video if you didn't get pissed on while riding around on a scooter... 😉

Lockdown may be a wrong word choice to use here. The island country has never ordered a "lockdown" (which can be seen in its neighboring country China). Taiwan just disallowed indoor dining and closed some public places. Generally you could move from place to place freely. No one would stop you. Traffic flows decreased thanks to the disciplined Taiwanese citizens rather than a lockdown policy.

so hard for me to watch this because my wife was diagnosed with cancer and has been maimed by the western medical approach that she had to quit treatment because she has been maltreated here in Canada..now she is going back to Taiwan her country for better treatment (one would only hope)...also painful is the thought I will never be able to come visit and worse yet, maybe she will never be able to come back due to the ever increasing restrictions (v@ccine passports and what not)....good to see you post something though as it has been a while but alas, I am moving to BC where no restrictions and better climate and scenery than shitty Ontario.
