The experience was good. Haven't you visited Hualien? It's most beautiful part of Taiwan and the Black sand beach at Waiao Beach is love.

Yeah, I was there for 2 weeks in late May in 2017. It was great for the most part. We saw most of what we wanted to see, except Lukang, Tainan, Bo Guan Shan, and a tribal areas. But we attended a Bejing Opera, saw both the historic and modern Taipei, as well as Tamsui, Yehliu, Keelung, Jiufen, Shiffen, Pinglin, Taroko Gorge and Zuoying (by HSR). I really wish the HSR was geared more towards tourists. We lost two days due to heavy rain, but overall, it was an amazing experience. It's different actually seeing Asian culture and architecture in Asia. But we kept getting lost. I also thought it wouldn't be as modern, but the transport is AMAZING. You can travel almost anywhere in the country, even at night, and not have to worry about your safety. Although we found the people, at least in Taipei, to be a bit racist and introverted, and childish, and all those stereotypes you hear about Asian drivers are true. LOL And the tourists from the mainland are SO rude and inconsiderate. But once we got out of Taipei, the people were WONDERFUL! I also didn't like the food. But in general, I enjoyed it, and it's still one of my favorite destinations. I would highly recommend it as an introductory country to Asia. It's both modern and traditional, but not as strict as Japan or Korea. And you won't experience the petty crime and scamming of Thailand. But you need at least a month to see everything it has to offer. HAPPY TRAVELS

Taiwan is my favorite country!!!! Three days is not enough for this beautiful country. Anyone planning to visit, please explore outside of Taipei. I went stopped in different cities and islands around the country and it was just breathtaking. Eat as much as you can as well! Try everything!

Taiwan is by far the most modern and advanced country in Asia, the food, nature, and people are simply the best!!

Deltron Lee I love Taiwan but in terms of modernity, it pales in comparison to Japan. I just came back from a trip to both.

Taiwan is more progressive than Japan. Japanese still eat dolphins and outlaw gay marriage.

@@randomness33 agreed, I'm Taiwanese and we still have a lot to go compared to Japan. Japan is literally a role model for all East Asian countries .

Hi Aileen, I’m glad I stumbled upon your video. Earlier today, I’ve been browsing forums, travel sites and blogs about sample itineraries and the chore gave me too much headache that I stopped. My mom and I will be visiting Taipei in early May and I’ll definitely try the day tour. This gave me an idea too to book the hotel near the main station. Thanks!

Shiffen also has a nice waterfall. Ximending is cool. Honestly, there are far more interesting places in Taipei then the 101, but still not bad for 3 days. Realistically, you need at least a month to see everything the country has to offer.
