We have custard apple tree in our hometown. I love custard apple. Seeing you eating, I miss custard apple now. Feel like eating now. Parcel here Luke pls. That fruit reminds me of my school days where we fight for that one fruit from the tree. Most of the places, sea, fish etc reminds me of my hometown (Kanyakumari ) Thanks for the wonderful reminiscence.😀😍 😍

I was there 15 years ago. People there are so nice! The Aboriginal tribes mostly are there. Food there are great! Love the local Food! Sashimi is so fresh! Wish I could go back again next time around. Love the place, Love the people! @Luke Martin you act like Mark Wiens when you sample the food. The only thing missing is the swaying to the side when the food is good...LOL! Great videos! I would love to be a vlogger someday. Cheers!

You are smart Luke. Sashimi is fresh and delicious in Taiwan. I love the seafood too. Taitung is famous for their electric steamers, rice cookers. Taiwan is known for famous brands such as Acer and Asus laptops too. I love Taiwan. If you plan to go to Kaoshiung, you might want to visit the aquarium there. It is huge! They even have overnight stays too. 😉.

I would suggest you to visit the ethnic tribes or the aboriginal villages sometime.... on the mountains specially, the places where they live are beautiful and they have their own recipes which you can try.

Custard apples are really tasty! Usually we split the fruit from the top and dig into the meaty fruit with a spoon, like eating yogurt. It's even better when it's cold!

I love sugar apple/custard apple. It is so creamy and sweet and also has real health benefits.I have eaten lots of sugar apple, never had one with any sour taste.. . This is also known as sweet sop in the Caribbean

@@LukeMartin very delicious ! as a matter of fact I had one just about a week ago. They are not commonly seen now in Trinidad for some reason and a bit expensive. ( about 2-3 USD for 1, depending on size)

Sashimi looks delicous.Nice footage of the fish market. How you peeled the custard apple is interesting. Normally, my family break it even by hand and eat it directly. There is one kind of custard apple famous in Taitung, which is called pineapple custard apple and that tastes more delectable.

For both of those reasons and more! We initially moved to Chiayi to teach and fell in love with the traditional culture, temples, food, mountains and people. Now we love every place in Taiwan and all of its food!

Quite nice video and one that you ate is quite common here in India 🇮🇳 #custuredApple but the way of eating it, is different, don't peel the upper skin just break it into some pieces and chew its flesh by removing seeds of it in the mouth 👄 and actually custured apple 🍏 are in season now a days 😁😁

Loved the video! Got to ask....you’ve mentioned basil before and when you ate the swordfish with basil...does that have the same flavor as sweet basil used in Italian cooking.
