It's not possible to make a proper direct translation for Japanese songs. If you were to direct translate, the song would sound completely different. This is the best English cover possible

+juicedup14 Really? You don't also think "Sie Liebt Dich" or "Komm, gib mir deine Hand" were exact and literal translations of "She Loves You" and "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" do you? Sure, those were performed by the original band, but the situation is the same. You adjust the lyrics and the pacing of the words to fit the tune. It's how it's always been done, and this one fits the meaning and style of the original Japanese very well.

a random commenter Ok Then, It is utterly impossible to directly translate Japanse songs and the english cover would Even sound more weird. The youtuber needed to change few of the text so the music could flow and rhyme Well to be Almost like the Japanse opening. Sure it is not perfect as You wanted But it is utterly impossible to directly trying to sing the song from the original text of Japanse to english when You translate it, thus leading to change few of the text.
