I worked at this hotel club floor for 2 years,so many changes, when I was working it was called presidential suite Jackie Chan came for dasavatharam promotion, and queen Elizabeth came for Marudhunayagam promotion,so credit goes to Kamal sir as well, this hotel is second home for him he rarely thinks beyond this hotel should have got a mention, may be she doesn't know but excellent explanation.

Excellent video. Wholly informative. Stirs immense nostalgia. I have lived in the immediate neighbourhood of Taj Coromandel since 1967. I have seen this site with the old bungalow. Then the demolition of the old building. The vast, empty site. Then the pile foundation activity by Simplex. Then the construction of the marvelous building designed by the renowned architect, Mr. I.M. Qadri. We were there at the inauguration. We have been there to dine. We have held conferences. I have been a speaker here as well in the Taj Mahal Hotel and the Taj Lands End in Mumbai. Our friends have worked here since inception. We were there at the redesign celebration of the The Hindu Business Line along with Mr. Ratan Tata. I ride my bicycle past the wonderful Taj Coromandel several times a week. Congratulations and best wishes to our Taj Coromandel on its golden jubilee.
