we did a one-month self tour of India covering Kerala, Goa, New Delhi, Jaipur, Shimla, Agra, Amritsar and Chennai. in total we spent less than RM8k each including airfare, hotels, meals, transport, attraction entry fee and shopping. Traveling to India was indeed an eye opener in many ways both good and bad. We found that Chinese food is on the menu of almost all Indian restaurants that we patronized regardless of the states

There is no chinese food in india. They called it Indo Chinese, means its cooked Indian style with some fancy Chinese names to suit Indian palate. Sichuan fried rice, hakka noodles, manchurian chicken. Because Hindu don't eat beef and pork is rare + indian vegs are mainly carb based such as potato, lentils, beans, chickpeas non-veg like me finds it lack of variety and choices as compared to Malaysia, Thailand. My favorite indian food is pani puri, a humble street food is done right, superb. Never been to Delhi but have travelled to Kerala, Maharashtra and Gujerat.

Magnificent heritage buildings at Agra City and I supposed the weather is comfortable to stroll and walk in midst of those beautiful buildings. Yatt Lau ! Mou Tak Deng ! 👌🏽. The hotel food I think it’s acceptable and most probably it’s almost the same type/style served at each of the hotel stayed in. The bus ride with videoed background is as India as it gets. Wonder if Elmo was able to spot ‘dungs’ being stuck at walls to be dried. ( where later it’s used as burning fuel for fire ). I would say all the heritage buildings are magnificently build and portrays the might of the Empire during that era. What a sight ! Thanks for the sharing and it is as India as it gets ! ( using a tour service to visit the places ). 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Yes India has its own charm, you have cows, goats and dogs running freely in the public. Am afraid in msia, the dogs would be apprehended or killed. I can't say I really like India but it has its unique character. Thanks for ur relevant comments choong

I do agree that not everything especially the non-Chinese stuff can be translated into Mandarin or Cantonese. You just pick the right language for the right theme. On a different note, I can tell the tour schedule was too packed.

Despite 6000 years of civilization as claimed, India is never my bucket list destination. Anyway, different strokes for different folks, I gathered you had a great time over there.

I can feel you man, chicken chicken chicken (and some fish)... for pork, beef etc, you gotta go to Kerala 😀 Also the historical connection of Kerala to China goes a long way back, just check out their traditional dance (Kathakali) and tell me if it resembles Chinese Opera. You can see many artifacts there to that effect like the ancient Chinese fishing nets etc which no longer even exist in China.
