The best performance of this favourite quartet that I have come across. Congrats!

"the American" Quartet is a thoroughly lovely composition, and here, the TaKacs Quartet proves (yet again) that they are a terrific ensemble. One can palpably see that they feel the beauty of Dvorak's moods (happy & sad at once), his uncanny ability to invent melodies and his unique talent to create an unforgettable composition. This is a terrific rendition of the piece and a very pleasing production --sound & video. Thank you so much.

The best version of this quartet was performed by the famous Dvorakovo kvarteto (Ruis, Pišinger etc.), Prague in the years 1960 - 1980. Unfortunately never more..................

Fine performance of everyone's favorite String Quartet, but the visual presentation now seems dated and unimaginative; even by the standards of late 20th century, not very good. The camera movements seem robotic and don't even focus accurately on the player carrying the theme.

If this bothers you so much then you obviously are not aware of the extraordinary level of this performance. Because of you were, I can assure you that you would be completely oblivious to the camera work.

@@duvidl58 I fully agree with your point of view - such a beautiful performance, for anyone to be bothered by such trivialities as the camera work!
