The attack on the first musical phrase said everything - first the strings, then the initial phrase on the piano. It told me these musicians are extraordinary, and I'd never heard of any of them. The pianist is a true Mozart pianist - both touch and phrasing. He makes the piano sing, not easy. Even in his darkest, most pain filled music, Mozart retains radiance of the heart - the kind of music that can save a life from despair.

Fabulous. In addition to the virtuosic playing, I like the way they don't rush in the allegros, and especially love their slow-walk in the andante, bringing out all the pathos in the music. One doesn't often hear such well-judged tempi in this piece these days. I think they are spot-on. The subtle dynamic shading, and exquisite phrase-shaping, by the pianist was a special delight throughout. A youtube "favorite" if I ever saw one.

Also found "free" ad blockers inconsistent; &, once again, the small cost of upgrades is not the issue, it's being pressured in obnoxious ways ("push marketing") to buy or do whatever. Nope. Nothing quite as wonderful. I miss this - chamber music was one of my foci in grad school, and I was the lucky pianist that got to play this with a really fabulous string trio in my second year. I hoped to reprise it for my last recital, but they couldn't all do it :'(. Someday I want to play it again though!!
