I know these don’t get read, but I’m saying this anyway. First things first. Monty is midreading the scrying modifier. +5 is for secondhand not firsthand. Firsthand meeting the target is +0 Having a possession or garment of the target is -4 to the save. And these modifiers are to the roll not to the DC

There’s connection and then there’s knowledge when it comes to Scrying. Knowledge, is if you’ve just heard of them and never met, it’s second hand and thus the target gets a plus five to the saving throw, if you’ve met them first hand they get no bonus and if you know them well they just a minus five to their save. Like if Panic casts Scrying on Willow, she’d get a minus five to her save. Connection is what the caster has, likeness or picture which would result in the target getting minus two to the saving throw, then position minus four and if you got their arm it’s minus ten to the targets saving throw. Nothing here effects the casters DC. This isn’t bad 5th edition wording, this is just Roll20 being a shitty site and have bad formatting. Honestly you should be able to put tables into your spells descriptions.

I think you can, it just requires fiddling with the text. This stuff *should* already be formatted properly, and might be if you pull up the spell description from the compendium, but the way it changes on the character sheet is just dumb.

So there was a lot of confusion around Scrying, so I'm gonna clarify how it works so you can decide whether or not you like these rules 1st modifier is based on how well you know them If you only have 2nd hand knowledge of the target they get a +5 to their roll If you've met the target they gain no modifier If you know the target well they have a -5 to their roll Next modifier is based on if you have things of theirs if you have a picture or likeness of the target they have a -2 to their roll If you have a possession of the target they have a -4 to the roll If you have a body part of the target they have a -10 to the roll Iirc you can add one of each so, for the scrying you did today, the target would get +5 because you never met them, and then a -2 because you have their image (wouldn't count as a possession because it belonged to the dead one, not the target). So they'd get a total of +3 modifier to resist, on top of their normal modifier

At around 3:08:00 to around 3:10:00, im pretty sure the save modifier for scrying is applied to the save of the target and not the spellcaster's spell save DC. It gets easier to scry on somone the closer your connection to the target is, hence why having a picture is just a -2 while having part of their actual body is a -10 penalty.

you read it wrong the +5 was to second hand. meaning having not meet them if it was first hand it was a +0 so a straight roll. if you had a picture of them it was a -2 to their save. and if you had a possession is was -5 to their save. so depending on how you wanted to rule it they should have had either a -2 to their save making it a 17 or a -5 to it making it 14.

Look guys I will admit that Big the Cat’s story was so random, unnecessary, and incredibly annoying but that was in the less buggy Sonic Adventure DX for the GameCube. If you ever watched any of the Game Grumps playing Sonic 06 Arin quit because it was buggy as hell and the Sonic story was unplayable in the later parts. Shadow’s story was the only thing I could complete in that game and I gave up after that. Also - Frog People!🎶 Frog People!🎶 Look like Frogs, aren’t smart like People!🎶

Rangers are under power do you need to be in a pacific type of train fighting pacific type of enemy and have Pacific spells prepared not having just one of these can destroy your character not to mention they are the weakest class in dnd put them up against any other class and they lose except maybe the warlock that’s more of an even playing field it’s generally more fun to play literally any other class they are a fun thing to multi class into though Mike multi classing into fighter or Rogue maybe even an Paladin
