Looks like Takara-Tomy did a really good job. The engineering and design look like they add to the playfactor without making it overly complicated. I might have to pick him up if he goes on sale.

Technically, it would be centrifugal force disconnecting the magnets if you turn it too fast, not the weight. :) Kekekekekekeke Great review as always. Mine should be coming in today at some point, I'm pretty excited. :P

+peaugh I need a pro tip. I'm having difficulties detaching the legs, the connection seems to be very very strong and I'm scared I may screw everything up. Is there any specific or particular way to detach the legs? In your video it just looks like you pull them off by force. Please help!

Cool vehicle building system. I'm not crazy about head reveal gimmick. Mostly because the head doesn't hide very well. Just once, I'd like to see a non-headmaster where the head actually transforms to fully hide.

They used this toy for Magmatron from Beast Wars Uprising and it makes sense because since he has 3 vehicles that make up the robot, they colored it in Magmatron's colors.

Is it just me or does this look like Optimus Prime? Not only is he a red and blue robot but the colors in robot mode are laid out exactly the same. Blue head, red torso, blue fists, blue legs. Just alter the head a little bit and you could easily make this guy into Optimus. I wander if this is where Optimus actually got his color scheme from. The figure he was based on was originally purple and black in the diaclone line so it's entirely possible that while the mold was based on a different figure the color scheme was based on this.

I really don't think that's the case cause powered convoy was an completely different color than this guy which was the original figure they just resold the figure in the diaclone in the line with different colors plus the colors were a lot more darker than this guys...

Primal Prime would fit the color scheme a little better, but look at the chest cockpit, the shoulder mounted cannons, the angle of the wings and then you have his jet and car modes... Now, he's not a "copy" but a homage to the 1st diaclone, which if you think about it, Diaclone pre-dated Transformers and Beast Wars went back in time before the Autobots became "cars" or 1980's brand vehicles. So, yeah... a play on or homage to the original. /shrug it feels that way when I look at him. Cause the character design in and of itself is out of place in the BW line, but if you take a look at the two in comparison and you look at the history of the line, it makes sense!

The Crawler mode very much resembles the Glaug from Macross. Shows how much of an influence Shoji Kawamori and Kazutaka Miyatake had on Diaclone since they designed the original toys back in the '80s.

I think you can give a good assessment if a toy is worth its money based of quality, quantity, and play-ability. I think the price is too high. Only on Play-ability does it score max, and quality is good. But even a 100 bucks is a lot this is clearly overpriced.
