Still need Slugfest and Overkill, 2 of the g1 cassettes for Soundwave. The T-rex and stegosaurus.

There’s also the combiner cassettes, Beastbox and Squawktalk. Then there’s Flip Sides, Glit, Howlback, Garboil and Sundor. And for the love of God, can we finally get an official toy of the Autoscout?!

If you're not a stickler for first party, Robot Hero released Overkill and Slugfest as Durden and Barney, KFC released Beastbox and Squacktalk as B-Box and Birdbomber. There's also the KFC take on Flipsides, Remix Tape I think it was called? As far as an official Autoscout? That's just odd given that plenty of 3rd party molds already exist of the character. But then, so many of the characters are just simple remolds/repaints anyways it's a wonder why Has-Tak haven't milked the opportunity already.

I'm hoping for a "Version 2" type Jaguar/Ravage that properly has the wings on the rockets the way the Stripes retool has. Hopefully, Enemy isn't a floppy mess like Rumble & Frenzy... how many times has that mold been used now? As for more tape minions...I wanna see Sundor, Slugfest, Overkill, Squawktalk, Beastbox, Raindance, Grandslam, & Ramhorn. Oh, and that gorgeous blue Ravage repaint that's supposed to be a girl...forgot her name...

Wingthing was the partner of soundwave's action master release. The rest are homages (enemy, micron), lost characters to editing (stripes, 86 movie), and randomness (nightstalker).

It's high time Takara gave us an MP blaster.

If Blaster isn’t at least MP-45, I’ll be sorely disappointed.

I have 3 problems with this set. 1. Most of these are basic repaints. 2. The set is rather expensive given the quality of the MP cassettes, which make great accessories for Soundwave but don't stand up well on their own. 3. We don't have an MP Blaster (yet) for these guys to pair with, and when we do eventually get a Blaster it is almost 100% guaranteed that we'll get at least one set that includes all of these guys along with Blaster. If it is priced like MP Soundwave, it will be cheaper than buying the cassettes and Blaster separately. Hopefully we'll get an MP Blaster soonish. Blaster seems like he'd be an easy character to make a MP version of since he just folds up into a box. It is odd we've gone more than a decade without him.

William Jenosheck enemy was a red and blue repaint of generation one rumble/frenzy that came attached to an am/fm radio, stripes was one of two scrapped cassettes for blaster in the original transformers movie, wingthing was Soundwave's partner in the action masters line, and nightstalker was a one shot comic book character.

Not worth the money really, and with MMC's larger scaled cassette bots coming out, I'd rather get those for my Marvel sized variants than the officials.

Nothing against you Ben but those are some dumbass names. Hasbro must have been grabbing straws back in the day. As always, great review.
