I think Thailand & Japan are the only 2 Asian countries that have a strong mutual affection towards each other on all fronts. Both countries have exceptionally delicious cuisine, culture, landmarks, & history. Both countries drive on the left with the steering wheel on the right as well. As an American traveler, I visited Thailand earlier this year. Bangkok was amazing, & we explored Soi Thaniya, the Little Tokyo neighborhood with all the signs & Japanese culture. It felt so amazing, it kinda gave me a glimpse of what Japan may be like since I haven't been there yet but would love to really soon. Thailand & Japan, much love to 2 amazing countries 🇹🇭 🇯🇵

Takashi is the nicest guy to talk to, when you see and hear him interviewing or interviewed here, you instantly get the vibe of super chill, down to earth person that’s one of the reasons I subscribe to him for many years as well as Eric’s channel for over a year now.

Thanks for having Takashi on your show. I love his channel and content. Glad to see the diversity of guest on your channel Eric. When I first saw the thumbnail, I thought it was a new Takashi video until I looked at the title lol. Keep up the great work and look forward to the next video!

The reason you hardly saw Japanese girls even in other countries is that first of all most of them are not into clubbing (also back home) and secondly most of them don't get a long time off and travel for sightseeing. Doesn't mix well with getting wasted til 3am. If you went to the royal palace and the temples and other sightseeing spots in Bangkok you'd see lots of Japanese women there doing sightseeing.

At 1:00:35 - I think the BTS stop you're talking about is Saphan Taksin.
@OneNightinBangkok_3 ай бұрын
Yes, that’s correct!

@@OneNightinBangkok_ I often stay at a guest house close to the river a few miles north of there. If the traffic in Bangkok is heavy, sometimes I'll ride BTS to Saphan Taksin station and take the river taxi the rest of the way. It's not usually any faster, but it's a lot more relaxing than sitting in Bangkok stop-and-go traffic watching the taxi meter run up.

31:44 The irony of you guys talking about "Lost in Translation" having trouble translating a Japanese word 😂
@BrianOSheaPlus3 ай бұрын
Haha, that's a good observation. I wonder what that word was that he said. It sounded like "jarema", which might be spelled じゃれま in Japanese. I don't know if that's an actual Japanese word, but Google Translate says it means "prank".

Singaporeans don’t go much of the Japanese karaoke. They prefer the Thai/gentlemen disco clubs like pimp, Hollywood, tiger ekkamai, terra, paikanyai. Also Eric check out a new club called void club

Great episode. However, the exploration of cultural differences between Japan and Thailand, what Takashi mentioned is not controverse at all. Sort of preconception among asians are really normal, since asian family structures are patriarchal constructions. Its is less controversial than a white american calling an afro american the "N" word. Yes, hierarchies exist basically in every settings. In the workforce too.
