I definitely always enjoy Old San Juan. Cobblestone streets are definitely wonderful. How about that the streets are golden? I definitely enjoy the hotel I stayed at during my vacation at Puerto Rico. Located in Isla Verde Beach neighborhood in Carolina. East of San Juan.

After learning the history of invasions of Spain, I don't even like to be called Spanish, I prefer to be called Puerto Rican, Latino, or Taino. Cause I'm not from Spain, and I would love to know more about the Tainos tribes and its culture.

Juan Quinones Most Anglo-Americans don't call themselves English, but you most likely have Spanish ancestry and without it, you would not exist.

This is true Spanish is a general term but if you're from Puerto Rico you're Puerto Rican

Latte is Italian for milk....and that's exactly what caffè latte is...coffee & milk. The difference is that the coffee in caffè latte is espresso, which is a strong coffee. But yes, caffè latte means café con leche. Gracias.

It's so sad that the loyal island of Puerto Rico was rip off his Mother Land: Spain. Before 1898 Puerto Ricans were Spanish citizens, with the same rights as the Spaniards in Spain. Today, Puerto Rico is treated by a colony by the US.

First time I hear that Puerto Rico & Cuba don't get along. That's a big lie! You may feel that way, but not the majority of the population.

Thats because we are to traditional for outsiders like you we seriously value our cultural its not a place for tourism. So if you do go just stick to San Juan. Just dont get lost.
@manuelpadilla37219 жыл бұрын
well the thing is after the genocide of our true culture and people in the Caribbeans up to the south central Florida they still have the balls to show up here

That's BS!! That's where the tourist go. Go outside of San Juan to Rio Grande, Vega Baja Fajardo, and Pig Mountain. Don't be a tourist.

the biggest matter that we gain from Spain once our genocide of our people..language taken away and replayed by spanish.. not only Puerto Rico but the rest of the Caribbeans are a tainos land.. the Spanish and rest of the Europeans have cause pain and suffering of our heritage... is anybody bothered by it?
@reyrivera1198 жыл бұрын
It's not the genocide of our people it's simply the genocide of the native people of the island because when you say OUR people you are talking of Puerto Ricans and us Puerto Ricans are more than 65% European. Without the European ancestry we wouldn't be what we are. It's our ancestors who killed another part of our ancestors and don't say that you're Taino or whatever because your name and last name are both European✋🏻

+Manuel Padilla Shut the fuck up you whinny little bitch! I'm from PR too and I couldn't give a single fuck stop living in the past dumb ass and stop complaining so much REALLY 3 comments? Was that even necessary? I'm glad that I'm Puerto Rican with Spanish/Italian descent fuck you because guess what? No matter how much you cry YOU'RE STILL OF EUROPEAN DESCENT.
@Seroxm137 жыл бұрын
Manuel Padilla move on from the past. The reality is that we Puerto Ricans & Latinos in general are mostly European, and some mixed with Indigenous Tribles and/or African. Most of us are hybrid Spaniards/Europeans lol What our ancestors did in the past was horrible, but we cannot blame ourselves or the Europeans of today.

Puerto Rico is basically the 51st welfare state, 80% of the residents live on welfare from the united states. If you do have the unfortunate happenstance of staying on the island, stick to the tourist areas and avoid the locals. They aren't very pleasant. Especially if you are an american or just white. If you are planning on going there, don't! Go to one of the other islands. They need your money and are usually more friendly and quaint. Oh, and cheaper! PR is expensive, it's worse than Miami.
