No ! Big Berths was a huge gun in WW1. We don't want the stove to blow up. If the other one is Little Bit how about Big Bit. My boiler man told me carbon monoxide detectors should be higher up. Better check on that. You've not needed the mirror you usually look just fine.

Still snowing at the end of May?! I did notice that the tent is arranged differently this year. Love all the painting. I did see on one camping video that if you start your fire at the back of the stove then you can see right away if the smoke is venting out properly. I’m not a camper so I have no idea if that is a useful tip or not. Your videos relax me. Thanks!

Looks like your ready for your summer in the woods. I've used those fire starter logs before as well as the bigger fire logs. I usually cut the little starter log into 4 pieces. I use a hatchet or ax but a big knife will work. Just set the edge of your hatchet, ax, near center and baton it through, then repeat for the halves. Get 4 fires for the price of one. It works the same with the bigger fire logs but a lot harder to cut through because of their size, I've found a good knife works better on the big fire logs, it's not as thick as an ax. I used one of the bigger fire logs to start fires in my fireplace and the one log lasted over 4 winters. Of course once I got a fire in the fireplace I try to keep it burning so I didn't need start a fire every night. I cut off a piece of the end of the fire log about 2 inches thick, then quarter it and get 4 fires from the slice. Be extra careful cutting with a knife, those fire logs are not hard, but they are sticky. I usually cut through as far as I easily can, then roll the log and cut again. Work your way around the log a couple times and you will be far enough through to just break the chunk off. The starter logs are much easier to cut through. I've now started using the "ZIP" brand fire-starter's. The come in a box of 12, are small square chunks, individually wrapped, cost about the same, I don't have to cut them, and they work just as good for starting a fire. Being individually wrapped and small makes them easy and light to carry to. Here's hopein for a fun summer, I'll be watching.

Knives are good, but with knives you need to make physical contact in a self defense situation and that can turn on you quickly, whereas with a firearm you keep distance in a self defense situation which gives you a better chance. I also own knives and firearms, in self defense firearms are the better choice with keeping distance which is crucial in giving you the upper hand. Love your tent btw.

You are totally well equipped.. goal zero rocks. and Becker BK2 is one of my favorite knives, if you have to beat a knife trough a log that is the knife to do it with.. You can field dress a Buick with that knife, There is a cult around that knife where guys remove the finish add Micarta scales and just make the knife their own.. i am going to get a second one just to modify.. I love that knife... it can also slice a tomato.. You have a GREAT camp.. I don't see many people that love what they do as much as you do. It is infectious.... I don't know about this spirit animal thing.. but i have been given a bear claw on two separate occasions and a Bear tooth. So i just have to wonder... J
