I now have an affiliate program with Advanced Sim Racing, a North American racing simulation chassis manufacturer and digital motorsport equipment retailer. I bought my ASR Pro Chassis and most of my hardware through them before they offered the program to me. I can easily recommend them for their excellent customer service and expert support, and free shipping in North America. Use my link or code THESIMRACINGDEN at checkout and receive 5% off selected collections: Advanced SimRacing, Racing Seats. I receive a small commission in return that helps support the channel www.advancedsimracing.com/thesimracingden

Great setup. I really like the quick adjust on the wheel deck. I’d say for myself upgrading from a DD2 to a SC2 Pro a few years ago was huge change. I swapped out the SC2 QR for a HRS XeroPlay QR. I highly recommend one. My setup was also featured by OC on episode 11 (2nd segment.) I changed a few things since. Also went from a 3080ti to a 3090ti now currently with a 4090. I don’t really have anything else to upgrade too other then swap out the NLR V3 for some kind of D-Box setup. If I had the space I’d probably have triple screens but I know I’d never use them because I’m a VR diehard for simulation. It kinda sucks being at the end of the upgrade road. Ha

Thank you for the video. Very nice. I recommend you go with a second Buttkicker on the pedal plate. I feel the vibration on the pedal plate is equally important to the unit under the seat. Also, how is the Buttkicker you have mounted to the rig. It's hard to tell from your video. Also, I am guessing you don't do a lot with your shifter. There are definitely better options if you are into using the shifter.
@simracingden
@simracingden Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the tip. I may try that. I also have rumble motor kits for my pedals just haven’t installed them yet. The Buttkicker is mounted using one of Trak Racer’s mounts. It just attaches to the profile and has a knob that sticks out to clamp the unit on. How do you configure yours as front and rear in simhub or all as mono? I don’t use the shifter often, but I like having one. I know there are better options, but they cost a lot more, too, as far as I know.

Thanks! Your room sounds pretty close to my little den which is slightly smaller around 9x9 it’s a little tight around walking around the rig but still enough space to walk through to my desk area which has enough space for working at the desk without feeling tight. it’s not ideal now for me with filming which is why I’m eventually moving to bigger spare room in the house but I think you should be able to make it work.

Hi my Friend, congrats for the channel. I'm interested to hear about your advise about a SimRacing little doubt. I want to buy a fanatec Direct Drive to use with my Xbox series X. I don't plan to buy a PC to play in the future. But I don't know which model to buy between the DD1 and the CSL DD. I don't know if the DD1 is too much equipment to use only with the Xbox series X. Will I be able to perceive the difference between both bases? Or I just buy the CSL DD which is cheaper? Is it worth paying the difference in price for a DD1 to use with an Xbox series X? Thanks a lot for your time and help!
@simracingden
@simracingden Жыл бұрын
Hi, thanks! I'll try my best to help you, but take what I say with a grain of salt, as I've not tried the CSL DD; I've only owned the DD1. Both are great for XBOX; I started with the XBOX and DD1 but knew I would eventually change to a PC. The CSL DD, from what I know, has been a popular choice. Still, there is a big difference in peak torque from 5nm (or 8nm if you get the boost pack which I would highly recommend for the extra torque) vs 20nm on the DD1, which in most cases might be overkill unless you want to get as much realism as possible. Still, most people use only around 12-16 nm. However, 20nm provides a more dynamic range to simulate high torque events well driving. If you're starting sim racing, I probably recommend the jump to a DD1 or higher-end wheelbase for most people. Until you know for sure it's a hobby, you will continue long-term and enjoy it a lot. You will likely still have a great experience on the CSL DD and could upgrade if you feel it needs to be stronger. Using a PC will give you more detail, so in some cases, you may not even be getting the best out of the DD1. So just my two cents do lots of research, and good luck!

If that fanatic shifter of yours ever poops out on u. Call up VNM( If that's what you do I don't know how this reviewing stuff works) I had the rare opportunity of testing them both at a store And I went with the VNM shifter. It costs $40 more than a fanatic shifter But it just felt like it was built better the whole casing is aluminum and besides the wiring the rest of it's made out of steel it felt really solid like I could slam on at all day. @simracingden

No, I have their standard large bucket seat. The main difference from the premium seat, as far as I know, is the material - the premium one uses suede or Alcantara. Thank you so much for the reply! This is the best answer I’ve seen explaining the actual difference. I was debating the premium suede recliner vs the bucket, but didn’t really understand the difference between the standard and premium bucket. I'm using some items I had lying around. One is actually a headphone stand - geni.us/zxUXTx (Amazon affiliate link), and the other is actually a game controller hook - geni.us/voDP (Amazon affiliate link)

@@simracingden Cool! I was trying to look around to see if there was any cable going trough the room but couldn't find any. You might have done something to hide it. Thanks for the info!
@simracingden
@simracingden 4 ай бұрын
@@xJunioorx Yes, sorry, I should have mentioned I routed it around my room, hidden by the bookshelves and using some cable concealer along baseboards, then behind my desk to the other monitor. Reason for the fibre optic cable is it maintains good signal at longer lengths.

Bruh, where do you guys get all the money for those crazy rigs... ? I can barely afford a new graphics card :(
@simracingden
@simracingden 9 ай бұрын
Hey there! I totally understand where you're coming from - some of these rigs are really impressive and can be quite an investment. Remember, everyone's at a different point in their sim racing journey and budget. Many start small and upgrade over time. There are also budget-friendly options and DIY solutions that can give you a great experience without breaking the bank. Keep an eye out for second-hand deals too. Your passion for sim racing is what matters most, not the cost of your setup!

@@miquelgus9218 I’m not exactly sure how it works but it’s enables variable refresh rate I’m sure a proper g-sync monitor with my Nvidia card would be ideal but at the time was not a lot of options in the price range I was looking for and have been happy still with these monitors for what they cost. Thanks for support!
