They made do with what they had, they were smarter than a lot of people give them credit for. I see you are from Larado Texas? I just bought a pair of Larado boots, they are nicely priced and very comfortable. I put conditioner on them and water repellent stuff and took out the original insoles and put in a pair of gel arch support insoles. I'm wearing them right now and I don't want to take them off.
