Awesome! You planning on putting thresholds under the entry doors? I do know one thing. They are a pain in the rectum when your trying to wheel a hand dolly in the door especially if it's weighted down. Shawn standing on top of the office taking it all in. "Ya see the engines running but there's no one behind the wheel!" 😁 Hopefully you have room for expansion bc here in about another year your going to be telling us "Listen guys we just don't have enough room for what we're doing!" I'm sure your planning on putting concrete down where your lean to is going to be. One thing to take into mind is the hill they cut into is going to have rain water running down that way plus the water from half the length of the shop going to that particular spot. Just on the outside looking in that's all!

Pouring a small apron around the perimeter of the building keeps the dirt from splashing on your building and helps out quite a bit which is what I did at my shop and I do not regret it. And I put my air compressors outside they are far too noisy and hot to be in the building

Shawn I want to say congratulations on the new shop. It looks amazing. I have been watching you since the very beginning of street outlaws began. I'm not very mechanical inclined as you all are, but now I have started working on my 1970 Nova that has been passed down through my family and my kids and grandkids have been helping me restore it back to some what the original state. But my grandson said it's still not faster than murder nova. You are our highlight of Monday night debates. You and your team Keep up the great work to show this younger generation you can accomplish anything with hard work and determination.

Congratulations! Run hard airlines like you did the receptacles and put a few couplers outside by the doors. The shower is a great idea, big wash sink coming? Radiant tube heat is cheap and fast heating! Also think about reels for the torches, them being jus like the air hose reals, they are another game changer, I have 2 100’ reel that cover my whole shop. Put your air compressor on an exterior wall, enclose it and put intake & exhaust vents on that exterior wall. I have had a few shops over the past 20 years and the ones I listed were big game changers that I should have done earlier. I have had to do a few things over again, I would put in a indoor wash stall and more water taps. Just trying to pass along my experiences.

Congratulations on the new shop. Take a little advice from a person who owns a larger shop like that. Go look for a walk behind floor sweeper. I got mine from Southeastern Equipment & Supply. I also bought a used scrubber from the RB auction and it works great. Believe me you will not like it when you try to keep that floor clean with a pushbroom and mop. Also watch storing stuff upstairs. If you don't have load rated joists installed you could overload the office roof and it could start sagging inward. You do not want that falling on the people below because you overloaded the trusses upstairs. Now that said you have one beautiful facility. The next time we are in OKC we will stop by and say hello.

Hey Shawn and Phantom, here's a really good idea for yall. You brought up having a wash bay, how bout getting the builder to add a lean to outside toward the other end this way whatever/whoever has to go through the wash bay before entering the dyno and have all come in the shop from the other end this way when they're done on the lifts you just open the door and roll them out.. sounds odd but it'll actually save you money in heating and cooling, and also it keeps your shop more secure and safe from others..

Sean, wonderful build in the video, @15:25 the railing could be set for people 6+ feet tall, just a thought from a tall person. Great work to setup the new facility. Moving our toolboxes is why they come with wheels and some of us have suspension on them.

if you get a heavy dual cylinder scissor lift that stays mobile, it can go out side, inside, etc. i love mine, works great for quick maintanance like wheels, brakes, unloading stuff from semi deliverys, and its great for trucks, impalas. low vehicles just need some spacer ramps to get a little higher. plus its 110 . use sheet metal pads under the rollers when you are lifting and leaving in place, keeps floor nice. congrats on the new shop.

Hey big guy . I'm sure you have it done already,but make sure and brace the shelfs every 2 feet or so, A specialty since there up stairs. The wood that are the bench Warp with little or no weight if you're much wider than 3 ft apart especially the moisture the way accumulate up there I only say that cuz I know from experience like your shop can't wait to see it but you guys have a great day

I bought 27 acres built a huge home. Built it myself. Called in favors. 3 car garage. Have a band come play live music every 4th of July. They set up on the drive way and or garage. I can see 20 miles in each direction. Everyone has a great time

Nice shop! Being a car guy i can already see down the road things that Shawn will be annoyed by but changes can always be made. The gravel will annoy you though. I’m on 3 miles of gravel and I’m moving for that reason. Can’t keep anything clean like ever and your close to a open field where the wind blows all the dust into the shop on top of that. Need to get a tree Spade to surround your yard with huge spruce for wind breaks

I live in northern AZ and in my shop I have a waste oil heater. It works amazing and you have a place for all your used lubricants and summer I have the big roll around cool boss evap coolers . I dont know how well those work out there but here its great

You should consider putting some dampered louvers on the wall opposite the exhaust fans. That will allow circulating of air without the doors open. Looks great.

Shawn, Turbo’s, Procharger or Screw Blower? Seems like the latter is possibly be the way to go as you’ve pointed out recently after Jim Howe’s Texas win. MPH is everything with a good chassis & driver. So has someone fixed his toe? Once the 2 & 4 post lifts are in, compressor & general gear things will take shape.
