Built in 2018 by David Wilson, the house still holds the appeal and excitement of a new build. The owners are the only residents it’s had, and they’ve done an exceptional job at looking after it. Carpets are plush, walls were redecorated last year, and there’s a modern, monochromatic style throughout. Lots of windows mean lots of light, and sun can flow in easily.
When they first viewed the house, it was the staircase for them, and falling in love with the rest quite literally went from there. This central and special feature gives extravagance, and the galleried landing lends well to many uses. The owners have had a corner sofa here, it’s now a reading area with shelving and cosy seating, and other Glidewells have this as an office space or storage.
They’re grateful to have a dedicated office on the ground floor, so bedrooms are bedrooms, a spare isn’t taken up by a desk, and work can be shut away at the end of the day. And the children appreciate their playroom. Both rooms offer versatility for whatever your family needs, and can be changed as hobbies and interests evolve.
