Take a Walk with me and Raina as we explore the The Basset Trace Trail in Williamsburg, VA

Today Raina and I walked the Basset Trace Trail in Williamsburg.
A self-guided nature walk exploring our woodlands, home to a collection of native plants and a birding “hotspot” with over 40 bird species that can be observed seasonally. Open dawn to dusk.
See wildflowers in bloom and enjoy the forest on this short (1.4 mi) trail that lies between the two Golden Horseshoe golf courses. Access is from the Griffin Hotel parking lot or the Green Course club.

Another peaceful walk with you and Raina! LOVE seeing the first signs of Fall. 🍂 I'm beyond ready for it--it's supposed to be around 100 degrees here all week next week 🥵 As usual, thanks for taking us along! We really only have one trail near our house so we only use that one trail almost all the time 😂 But I love seeing that your area has so many different nature areas to walk around with Raina. This looks so cool to walk than the bright sun trail we have (almost no shade!! 😭). Raina jumping down to the little puddle got me scared for a second though! 😅 For some reason, I thought it was a lot steeper! Love these different videos to get footage of a different area! Makes me feel like I get to travel to where you live 🥰

Raina surprised me when she did that! I did not expect it! I took her on the trail another time and she not only jumped into the creek, but she ran up and down and jumped back and forth over the bridge. Somehow, I managed to get it on video, so I think I will use it as an intro soon. It will definitely make you laugh! Have a great day!

Beautiful! Looks a lot like northeastern Alabama. We've had a nice break in the heat the last couple of days. Wednesday morning I actually wore a jacket during my early morning walk. It was 62°!! But, the heat is coming back with a vengeance next week. They're predicting temps close to 100°.🥵 Thanks for sharing your walk!

Oh wow Williamsburg I'm jealous... What a beautiful trail and Reney was having a great time. Glad to hear I'm not the only one who starts to breathe heavier as the walk goes on. 😂 Great video and thanks for taking us along. Um yeah when you said how many golf balls were in that pond my thought went exactly to what you said about the water moccasin. 🐍😮

Ha!Ha! Yes, hot day and lots of hills - not enough oxygen left to chit-chat!! You KNOW there are water moccasins in that lake and Copperheads in that grass!
