You forgot the tradingfees (that swallow most of the profits) and the fact that opening 2 positions in 2 directions with the same price is difficult, (because of the spread) and if price moves in the other direction you order wont get filled and all the profits are gone

You can buy the asset and short the same amount you have on coin-margin. That is more profitable and gives you profit on the whole asset not the half

Yes and you can lend out your long position as well. Pepe is around 30% on the long position at the moment

For this, I would like to see a bot that constantly searches for currencies with the highest funding rate and then automatically closes the old position and opens the new one with the high funding rate. Or does anyone know of such a bot?

Can you please explain how to best close both positions with minimum loss? I always seem to lose quite a bit when I close both positions at the same time. I close with limit orders instead of market orders but it’s still significant. Luckily the funding rates are so high still that it makes up for it. Thanks

@@aadarshchoudhary4321 think so. I close the short on the futures market with a limit order one tick above the current price. As soon as it triggers I sell at the market price on the spot market. Also, only get out when the futures price is lower than the spot market price. It’s an easy few percent to make. How are you getting on? Any tips?
