Man you deserve your flowers for the way you break down Ren's songs: 💐

I’m not sure how funny life is, but it’s definitely funny watching you try to deal with Ren suddenly going off on his word wizardry 😂

You might be a beast at pop culture trivia!! Your knowledge is impressive man!! This is one of the reason why I like yours reactions so much!! Keep it up man 🤘

😂 you're such a frellling nerd to pick up and connect references from all over the place ! 👍🏻 hedron collider, kendrik, cobain, rod+tony... the image however is not by m.c. escher -- too trivial a perspective 🙂

Interestingly, I recognized the line about the surgical incision in the middle of the brain after reading the Sam Harris book you recommended: Waking Up - A Guide To Spirituality Without Religion. I don't know if that's what he references, but the "Wake up" message is in line with what he's saying.
@parkskurКүн бұрын
i think that was in the back of my mind! How are you liking the book? have you finished it?
@jolinevdkКүн бұрын
@@parkskur I finished it! I did enjoy it, but I also felt I wasn't the exact target demographic. It felt more geared towards people with a sciency mind who needed convincing that it's okay to think about spirituality, and how to approach that from an academic lens. I'm not a scientist and more comfortable with the non-scientific approach to spirituality. Having said that, I thought the scientific approach to what and where the "self" is, was fascinating.

I think I've only ever seen one reactor get the "Say my name, say my name" just before the Kurt Cobain line. He sang the hook for one of Destiny's Child's big songs. "Destiny's Child" in the middle of a song contemplating fate vs free will.

Lotus is a flower, but it's also a fast sports car - just like the speed of Ren's bars. Fund fact: the word 'ren' means lotus flower in Japanese.

Is Lotus also a type of fighting style? Also with the kurt cobain bar.... saying "i bang like cobain" could also be referncing kurts struggle with injecting heroin. Sometimes thats referred to as "banging" (using a needle). Im all to aware of this from personal experience 💜

Yes. In some forms of traditional Chinese martial arts, there is a "Lotus Kick," which is a graceful, spinning kick that mimics the unfolding of a lotus flower.
