Take Five [Paul Desmond/Dave Brubeck Quartet, 1959] - Jazz Guitar

For some reason, KZbin blessed this video of mine - please check my recent videos as they're much better in terms of playing and sound! :)
My rendition of Paul Desmond's Take Five on guitar. Played on top of a backing track found on KZbin. Guitar is a Hagstrom Viking plugged into a soundcard straight to Pro Tools.

You sound great! l love the fact you play a hagstrom, they are excellent jazz instruments' but the purest give them a hard time because of the fretboard. i use a Hagstrom Jimmy HJ500 jazz box, sounds and plays wonderful. but i gotta say you have a great full sound.. keep on keeping on.

How do you get the audio so clean while at the same time having u in the recording? Is it a mic on the camera?

Hi! No, you have to record the audio and the video separately. In this case, I recorded the guitar by plugging it into an audio interface by Focusrite, into Pro Tools (a DAW software) and then synced the audio with the video from the camera using a video editing program like Sony Vegas. There's lots of tutorials on KZbin that explain how to do it!

At around 41/42 seconds. There is mistake: the seventh note of the bar is too flat. On the Alto sax, it is a A but I hear a Ab (or a G?).
