Great reaction! My album of the year & my favorite band (it’s crazy discovering your favorite band in your late 40’s). The Summoning is an ideal jumping off point-that song went viral & really gave them traction. Then do Ascensionism (incredible genre-bending-it’s my favorite track), Rain (criminally underrated) then Vore (shoegaze-y black metal). Granite is also a banger (hip-hop/R&B vibe). You really can’t go wrong-every song is a gem IMHO

Whaaaat you have my all time favourite artist Ren and my all time favourite band Sleep Token! Oh and if you know you know 😂 oh I know 😏 Sleep Token are the best band I have ever come across and the recent album is definitely my AOTY! You should go down the rabbit hole now. They’re genre bending and use elements of everything from rock, metal, RnB, trap, hip hop, gospel, and more. Even if you don’t like one song don’t write them off as every song is different and as you can see from this one they switch up completely through the songs, also don’t be thrown off by some of them being 7-8 minutes long either as it goes by far too quickly. You should start at the beginning and work your way through as they tell a story and have call backs to a lot of them. The band are anonymous, I and others know who they are but won’t reveal out of respect to the band and fans but the singer goes by the moniker Vessel, drummer, who is a beast is II, bassist III and guitarist IV. From London UK. As far as their discography goes they brought out two EPs called One and Two, then 2 singles called Jaws and The Way That You Were, then the three albums Sundowning, The Place Will Become Your Tomb, then TMBTE (Take Me Back To Eden). They’ve done five covers that I’m aware of. One being Hey Ya by OutKast, I Wanna Dance With Somebody by Whitney Houston, Is It Really You? By Loathe and When The Party’s Over by Billie Eilish, Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen. His Vocal range I believe is B ♭2 to F#5 and he has a wonderful chest voice, head voice and scream. I have never hyper fixated on a band like I have with these! Loved the react and Will subscribe and hopefully see many more. 🖤 The trilogy = Seduction. Destruction. Liberation.

His voice is hypnotic for sure...the more you hear the better you like them. If you fall down the Rabbit hole, you'll realize he can't help the vubrato due to his emotions. Their first Two albums are all part of a story and this is the third one in the trilogy. If you really like this song, definitely listen to the whole album. It's harder than their older stuff but it's all phenomenal, especially once you get hooked lol 😂 I'd start with the beginning of this album, Chokehold, and proceed. From their earlier stuff I recommend Alkaline, Hypnosis, Higher (he does a blegh at the end of Higher) the Offering, Gods and High Water. The band is from England, but their music is influenced by all kinds of genres. Good listening! Hope you worship with the rest of us! 🤘😎

Right, the outro reminds me of the breakdown in This Love a bit or Bury Me in Smoke from Down, just slow, low, and chunky. Just saw Pantera with Lamb of God a few weeks ago, it was awesome. Really into these guys also, they have more pop influence in lot of their songs infused with metal, jazz, etc., creating their own sub-genre.

Vessel 1 is the singer. In the studio he does everything but the drums. That's Vessel 2. Awesome reaction. Keep it up. You have my subscription. They have no genre. Its just Sleep Token. This was the next to last song in a trilogy of albums around this story. The last song finishes with a callback to the first song on the first album. Plus the lore. They are anonymous
