Excellent video! I'm just getting into using One Note after years of old-school pen & paper note taking & organizing. I never knew what this program was capable of doing - thanks so much for opening my eyes!

Glad it was helpful! Pen and paper still have their place, but digital notetaking apps like OneNote can be really helpful when used correctly. Thanks for watching.

Thanks from a fresh one note user. I only heard this thing 2 weeks ago, but I was taking meeting notes with PPT for a long while. I prepare participants and everything else as well, but never thought about insert a small table as part of preparation work. And that's the game changer. Just went through a meeting this morning, 75 minutes, and took notes + many screen captures. It only took me 2 more mintues after meeting to make sure the todo's. The notes are done as meeting goes through. I never took down so many notes with so less energy. Thank you very much! I'm going through all your other tips today. haha

This was a helpful video, and I appreciate that it wasn't excessively long. I saw real benefits to using this method and was inspired to try it out. I was already signed in to my Microsoft 365 account (Outlook and other Office apps were already running), but I had to sign in to use OneNote. I did that, no problem, OneNote was now working, but when I tried to add meeting details it asked me to sign in to my Microsoft account - I thought that was odd since I was already signed in and the apps were running). When I entered the Microsoft 365 info - the same account that I was already signed in to - it said there was no such account! I used a different MS account and got signed in there, but the calendar I need is not in that account. If anyone has a suggestion, I would love some help! FYI - when I tried to click "Sign in using a work or school account" I got a blank box.)

Great video! As a PM myself, I host a lot of meetings. One thing I noticed is that you are taking the notes from the meeting in another page instead of taking them on the agenda that is already created. I haven't seen this before and I very curious why you choose that method. Not saying it is a bad method at all. Thanks. Liked and Subed!

Fantastic, I love how you did your notes. I do have a issue I need help with. A lot of emails that come in have information I need. I am trying to find the best way to capture this information and to be able to quickly search for it. Do you have any ideas in one note. I tried excel I have 20 tab, then I created a word document it’s now 64 pages. Do you have any ideas?

Instead of a OneNote page, I accidentally shared my entire Notebook with one of my colleagues. Removing User in OneNote Shared with People is not working. Even though my Notebook is closed in her app, it can still be viewed or edited at her end. Any Idea why?

Hello, I am very thankful for your work. As your videos show me that you actually use onenote in your daily work I have one question: is it possible to add excel spreadsheet in one page a nd the same spreadsheet in the another page. And now interesting part: if I will adit first spreadsheet is it possible to refresh second spreadsheet and see the same data from first spreadsheet?
@AndyPark3653 жыл бұрын
Hi - thanks for you comments. Unfortunately, the short answer is no. If you want to add the spreadsheet as a printout (via the insert printout option) it actually creates a duplicate file in the OneNote's AppData temp folder. If you copy this file to another OneNote note page, it will make a duplicate. So making change to one will not update the other. The only thing I can suggest is to use "links" instead. That way, you can insert the link to as many pages you'd need, and clicking on it will always take you to the updated document. Of course, you won't be able to see the actual spreadsheet in OneNote with this method. I'm sorry this is not the answer you're looking for, but I don't know of a workaround.

@@AndyPark365 I do agree. This is probably one of the strangest things in OneNote. Incidentally, one can take a table they have made in OneNote, and convert it to an excel spreadsheet by right clicking the table and selecting it from that menu. Another peculiarity is that when you edit an Excel document that is embedded in OneNote, there is not AutoSave liek if it were in your OneDrive. You need to save that Excel document first when you close it. It is not a big thing, but when you are working in OneNote, one can forget to do that for OneNote there is no "Saving".

Thanks Natmari. I'm actually a long-time Evernote user but I use it mainly for document retention. But yes, you can use this approach in Evernote as well. For handwritten notes, I tend to use mind-mapping approach.

@AndyPark3653 жыл бұрын
Ha. I am not a fast typer. Some of the parts in the video was sped up in editing. On my best days, I type around 70 wpm. Having said that, I learned how to touch-type properly only about 5 years ago. Learning how to type was one of the best investments I made in terms of productivity gain.

First off make the distinction: Are you using One Note for Windows 10 or the 2016 One Note Windows version? I kept wondering why my One Note looked completely different than the one you were showing. For someone that is brand new to One Note, this was confusing. I found another tutorial dedicated only to OneNote for Windows 10
@AndyPark365 Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the feedback! Sorry for the confusion, I'll make sure to specify which version of OneNote I'm using in future videos. I'm glad you found a tutorial that worked for you! Let me know if you have any other questions or comments.
