I saw this concert live on the 7th aug 1995 and I was almost 16! Manchester arena had only opened in the july and it was the 1st of many gigs I've seen there. My last being TT in may 2015 - couldn't get tickets for there for them in 2017 or 2019. Tou could tell how new the arena was we had to pull up at a garage to ask where it was cos it wasnt well signposted & we weren't from Manchester and sat navs or mobiles didn't exist back then! We were the teenyboppers then! My mates parents took us and dropped us off at that gig and picked us up after! Oh to be that age again I go back in a second!!

What i find amazing in the hindsight of what happened at Manchester is in 1995 when the arena 1st opened in the july and was called the NYNEX arena back then - me and my 2 friends were driven there from Leeds by 1 of my friends parents to go see this tour on 7th aug 95 and we were dropped off at the arena by them and we were picked up after just like many other teen/teenybopper fans have been over the years just like many of the fans of Arianna that fateful night. I cannot remember where we met them after or whereabouts we were dropped off. Me and my friends were 15 years old at the time of this gig. We were the teen audiences of that day in time. That arena worked how it worked for almost 22yrs without incident. Fast forward to may 2017 Take That were on tour at Manchester arena either side of Arianna May, i know friends who saw them there that weekend before it happened maybe on 1 of the nights the bomber was scoping the place out as its since been reported. I didnt actually see them in Manchester in 2017 I couldn't get tickets for there and saw them in Newcastle 2wks to the day before on Monday 8th May. When the very early reports of the bomb happened I assumed it was TT playing there as they have always done a lot of nights in Manchester but then of course I found out it wasn't them. I find it so poignant to think I was the teen audience back then when that arena 1st opened only for TT to be playing the arena before and after Arianna did or were meant to.

They DID love them in the 90's. The generation, witch crew up without SMARTPHONES and social media DID love these lads worldwide. Best boyband ever. Best selling Brittish artists ever, they've sold the most records worldwide. Robbie had to be here too, because all 5 of them is THE Thake that for me. Robbie was too often too drunk to perform and he used coke too. Too much pressure for him when he was young, he needed wodka and coke. Sad days for him, Thake that and the fans worldwide in the mid 90's. Later Jason left too and the band broek up. Came back with 3, then 4 and in 2010 with 5, but for only one studio album. I still love these lads, their music is timeless and I was happy to see them all together in 2010, singing 'the flood' in 'The Voice'. I wasn't a teenage fangirl but a young mom in the 90's. I'm Still loving their music, it's timeless. The 'smartphone generation' doesn't know them and their music as we, the 'oldies' (lol) do. For them, these lads are just some old and grey men singing together. (45+ is old for that generation. 🤣
