I took up learning English few years ago. But finding a good way of learning it took me up a lot of time. One day, I wanted to take my trousers up a little, so I went to the alteration shop. I had a small chat with the tailor and he recommended Interactive English. I said "I will take you up on that." Since it was an important issue for me, I took this up with my parents. They took a look at the channel and thought it was quite great. They also found someone who could be my private tutor. Daddy said as soon as he offered her the job, she said "I'll take up the job."

Please , We need a video about what's the difference between these words: 1- lend/ borrow 2- Persuade/ convince
@wizsneer56055 жыл бұрын
English World lend means give sth I lend him some money Borrow means take I borrowed a book from my college library. Persuade means to like placate , satisfy , instigate , to make someone content with sth, talk someone into sth. I persuaded her and finally she was ready to go with me. Convince means to make someone believe in something or someone. I convinced him that I would work hard and pay his debt. I hope this matters for you.
@Aerosmith775 жыл бұрын
Lend: somebody gives somethiong and expect it back. Borrow: somebody asks something and intends to give it back. Convince: We have an argument and I tell you the reasons why I am right - I convince you about that I am right. Persuade: I would have liked to dance since my childhood but I didn't have the opportunity until now. Soon I start to dance and I am very happy about that I could persuade my goal.

I know a person who teaches German to English speakers (like me) and she knows English most of the time, but she got that wrong in the example sentence about 'leihen,' to lend. The example was "You don't have a car. No problem. You can lend Peter's car." I think she meant borrow but I didn't say anything. I was too busy being surprised that she almost always understands English but didn't know something that I thought was a basic concept. Besides that, she's the teacher. You're not supposed to know more than the teacher.
@erenymaher62745 жыл бұрын
@@VickiBee You have all right, when your German teacher made this mistake, you have lost confidence in the way she is taught. With all my respect for you and your teacher, this mistake must be fixed. Because you want to learn German language and this is in your favour. I think that as human beings, we made mistakes a lot and the others must not be shy to fix these mistakes. This is my point of view,Thank you
