I was really surprised that the Well didn't even yield any old bottles! It shows you, that you can never take anything for granted. Some of my best finds where in my front yard without a detector. 1905 V nickel 1850 large cent, and a friend found a three cent piece (found with E-Trac).

I used to climb in old wells like this for a living to work on pumps, windmills, and general well maintenance. Even 20 years ago we used gas monitors, harnesses, hardhats, and safety winches above the hole. I cannot even imagine the OSHA regulations on doing this type of work these days.

It's like watching National Geographic. I could learn from this. That's a lot of coins you found in the well. Too bad there wasn't any silver. Nice video! Thanks for showing. HH Marc

old open wells like that you won't ever find much now one that's been filled up people would throw trash in it to speed up filling it and that's treasure today.

As the one previous poster mentioned, proper safety equipment is paramount before entering old wells or abandon mine shafts !!! There is an oxygen condition that the old miners used to call "Black Damp" which is essentially dead air and lack of oxygen !! In most cases the individual doesn't realize they are in peril before its to late and they go unconscious and if not immediately brought back to the surface via a safety harness and given recitation.. your dead in minutes ! Also another safety concern with these old hand dug wells is this , if the well went dry, the land owner , depending on the depth of the well would sometimes place a wooden "false bottom' part way down into the well shaft to speed up the back filling of the well, so in retrospect the present day well may appear to be a 10 foot deep well, may in fact be a 50 feet deep well .....all's well that ends well....NOT !! Be Careful around these old wells !!!!

@tonyv150510 жыл бұрын
maybe she was playing on the hay hummm lol
@take1creations-treasure10 жыл бұрын
Tony V It was amazing how much other stuff we found in the hay even after 20 people search through it. iPods 2 more rings, keys & cell phones. What really happens a lot is that your hands get cold - fingers shrink - and then you throw hay. There goes the ring! I heard that in the last 15 years over 50+ rings were lost on the hay wagon. And then there's the occasional couples hayrides hummm. TJ.

Drama.. :P

Kill the music and you'd have a product with more quality. Treasure hunting is exciting enough, adding all this dramatic music just makes it childish. Perhaps let the camera stay on the coins or items found for just a few more moments and less shots on insignificant, quick panning movements that make the viewer just roll their eyes and wish for a cameraman with experience. Half the camera shots on people are headless or their heads barely fit in the frame. Work on editing, kill the music, and let the experience speak for itself and you'd have a very interesting show.
