At 4:10 you got my grandma on video. She is on the far left of the screen in the striped coat. She has played with the dulcimer gathering since before I was born. I used to go to the feast every year, and we would have pizza after the first day. Such fun we had in those days.

I love a good rendezvous. We have a great one at Fort De Chartres in Southern Illinois I have attended many times. Thanks for taking us along on your adventure!

I bet that one would be amazing! That place looks like the real deal. And not too far from the Shawnee NF, might have to check it out someday.

I’m surprised you guys didn’t run into Hoot. He was there in full costume. Great video guys
@SlonesWildernessExpeditions2 жыл бұрын
There were so many people there, I know a whole family that was in full garb and encamped, yet I never saw them! I could see Hoot getting into this!

I think next year, we'll go on Sunday as well, it was so crowded on Saturday! I had the chicken quarter & potato, and if the lines hadn't been so long, I would have more, LOL!

Thank you. Merry Christmas. Hope you have electricity. It's really windy up north of you but i still have electricity. Not to much snow but it's blowing everywhere.

That was awesome, very interesting to see everything, including the tents...those do look a whole lot heavier than what we use for backpacking. What...wait, they ate catfish??? That is tragic. No, seriously, the food looked great and sounded awesome too.

It's a really fun event! Sometimes we take these local things for granted, cool stuff. *No catfish were harmed in the making of this video, LOL!

That's cool. Guess I was a day late. Lol. I just got back from Prophets town state park there near Lafayette. (If you haven't been there it's pretty cool state park) thanks for sharing this video with us.

Prophetstown is our local state park, we live here in Lafayette. Did you check out the Trail of Scarecrows?
@wackyadventuresofmike2 жыл бұрын
@@SlonesWildernessExpeditions we saw some as we were driving but didn't get to see them upclose. We went on trail 3. I wanted to do the trail of scarecrows but this was my son's idea to go there and he had already planned the trail he wanted to do. Hoping to get back over there before it's over. We're over near Kokomo. So it's not to bad of a drive.

Hi, Slone's Wilderness Expeditions. Thank you for sharing. Wow, it is a very historic site I have never seen. Although I heard of the Wabash River... Is that go through Indiana State? Sorry, the History in my mind is a little rusty... Yay...a cool ride..1:40..Can I request to ride this boat? .Oh...they will race each other.....2:30 Wow..this is an actual hand-carved wooden canoe???...4:54...impressive It's not only learning history but actually, PPL are able to observe and experience the process. Splendid. I feel like I were one of your homeschooled students. 😁 Well done. 🥰🥰🚣♀🚣♀
