honestly what do you think, his combos are super nice in this game but they were so flashly in mkx, for now it seems like J24 into air spear ryu seems to be the best for his combo scaling :/ it's cool but not as flashy as mkx combos i find. i'm still super happy with takeda dont get me wrong thouh

The gravity scaling in MK1 is Takeda's problem, along with many other characters. It hasn't been done right at all since day 1 of the stress test. Because of Kameos, it is the way it is. We currently have a mechanic not being utilized properly with Havik, where you can plink block to extend the range of your normals. That, to me, is the future of MK. Not air combos. The air combos in MK1 are nothing compared to MKA. MKA was insanely skill based, where as MK1 is all setplay/linear. Things need to change, and Tournament Mode is the answer, but I doubt they will ever go through with it. The Casual/Hardcore Hybrid vision is no more, because the average players today are much better now compared to what they were 15 years ago. Any casual element becomes too good in the right hands. Tournament Mode would be a completely different game: -No Blockstun - You can cancel during your block pushback -No Kameos -No Fatal Blows -Better Anti Air/Jump Arcs -Options during your negatives besides blocking (to balance the no blockstun) RIght now, they are making the game too casual, but that they're doing it on purpose, because of the Tournament Mode reveal. This is something i've been for since Injustice 2. They know about it, and friends who work there that recently got hired. By doing this, you still have your Casual and Hardcore, but they are seperated. Same vision, just rethought.

@@CHECK4900 Yeah honestly this would be a huge step in the right direction for MK1. I do love air combos but everything you said was absolutely right and would do amazing for this game. The reveal for MK1 Year 2 was amazing but I was hoping for some new gamemodes too. Like honestly even not if a tournament mode, if they just added stuff like no kameo mod, tag team mode, or anything else it would help the game a ton, but tournament mode would be damn nice to have by now.

Does anyone have an easier way of connecting j.24, j.bf3, j.24? Im hoping it's just a skill right now bc I haven't played MK1 in like 5 months & before that I hardly touched it (character crisis). I have hundreds of hours on MK11 tho. Probably just need to keep practicing until I get the muscle memory down. In MK 11 I mained Scorpion, Sub, Spawn, Nightwolf, Kung Lao, and Rain

Hit them as high as you can, but wait for yourself to drop to the ground slightly. You can also try holding forward after bf3 if you hit them lower/from farther away

@@CHECK4900 I will try that. The issue I'm having is getting the second j.24 out... It's muscle memory most likely. Bc I only keep getting j.4 most of the time after the j.bf3...gonna keep practicing.
