Really enjoyed the video and it inspired a few changes on how I'm using OBS and my setup. I am curious how you are mirroring the teleprompter portal monitor so that you can use it? I know teleprompting software will flip/mirror but for Zoom, that wouldn't work.

Great video. Just wondering if you have seen any performance issues with the wavelink, ecamm and zoom running on three different monitors. My Intel mac mini , actually the ecamm instance is consuming a huge amount of CPU

I get wireless interference on my MacBook Pro when connected to second monitor via hdmi. I’m a broadband engineer so I know there’s no issue with the WiFi. I’ve tried two new hdmi cables but out of the blue, within an hour of zoom call, the WiFi buffers and interrupts my stream. As soon as the hdmi is taken out the MacBook, connection is back immediately. It has put me off live streaming with the second monitor. Why would this be happening? Could it be due to the Mac resolution settings or something? I’m using a dell monitor which is hdr.

My simpler system: Rode Podmic USB via USB C, this does all the DSP such as noise gate, etc. IN the mic, and is also an audio output device INSTA360 Link camera, with built in gimball and face tracking and switch to show desktop or whiteboard LoupeDeck Live, similar to StreamDeck. I have a redundant Streamer X, which is a waste of time for me. Also available is an ATEM Extreme and an Atomos switcher, should I want to add extra video sources.

What is the desk you use? Also do you need an iPad for Apple Pencil and suggestions I also have umbrella lights for green screen but out of room, are there smaller lights that can go on desk and light me up and green scree? . I have a webinar I do on stock market and trying to get a studio set up I use OBS and webinar jam , with power point and trading software and need it to be better :)

Your stream got laggy during the demo of Keynote through ECAMM. Do these applications not play well together or require major CPU use?

Is it better, to use ECamm than an ATEM Extreme? Would it make sence, to use both?

Ecamm supports up to 4K the ATEM is 1080P only. For scene workflows, Ecamm as much more flexibility for live stream creation etc. you can use the ATEM in conjunction with Ecamm also. Depends on your workflow.

I have 4-8 Zoom calls w clients and we collaborate live using Excel. I am constantly changing data attributes in Excel w the client. It is a massively large spreadsheet. Too large for a laptop. Occasionally I need to write something on the screen and regularly need to use my cursor to highlight when I am making adjustments in the Excel spreadsheet. How would you suggest I build my setup?

How can anybody beat an iPhone 6 as a camera for basic zoom/desktop use? the 5 mb front face cam is what i use - people are surpised when i tell them - if i ever need the whopping 12 mb I will just turn the camera around and use the rear cam! Point is - like you said - just start with what you have!

A lot of people don't seem to care about their online appearance in Zoom meetings which is about so much more than vanity - being able to be seen and heard is simply about effective communications. It amazes me how little effort people put into this stuff still. That said, I think it is fair to say that I've taken it to a bit of an extreme! Setting up a studio may not be financially feasible or indeed practical for many people. However a few little tweaks to lighting and audio can go a long way. 😊
