I'm glad you changed your mind on video doorbells, I have two (not Ring) and I think they're great.

You have to admit when you're wrong....and I was wrong about them. They are still incredibly vulnerable compared to an active deterrence camera, but that does not seem to be a market factor. It took a long time for me on this one. But they do perform much better than expected. The feed back I'm hearing is Ring is good and Nest is the best. Has anyone had experience with both? If so please post.

@@BackstreetCameras For some strange reason I haven't gotten any notifications for your videos in a very long time and I miss them so I have some catching up to do. The two cameras I use are a Lorex and an Amcrest - both are basically the same camera and are made by Danua, Lorex's parent company. The reason that I choose those is because there is no subscription fees for full functionality, they both have human recognition and they are both 5MP. with very good image quality. I feed them into my NVR so even if someone damaged or stole the camera the recording is still on my NVR which is hidden in the house.

ring is scarry most of the time on the news when you hear about a doorbell cam getting hacked it mostly ring cams

I understand you're concerns. But when you dig into the details, the only thing that happened was the owner never changed the factory password. Anyone knowing this password could get in. It's not Rings fault, its has been the owners fault each time. I cannot beleive I'm defending Ring because I have trashed them for years. But there is a point when you have to give credit for success when its due. Ring dominates the residential market, you have to give them their due.

Wheres the walther p38? Only reason i clicked lol, my great grandpa brought one back from ww2 and has been in the family since. Great shooting gun the germans built some amazing stuff.

I have one as well, bougfht it at a pawn shop, great gun, lots of history.
