Taketomi, Okinawa 🏝️ a hidden subtropical paradise island of Japan

Taketomi is a beautiful island around a fifteen minute ferry ride away from Ishigaki and is part of the Yaeyama Island group, a sub-group of Okinawa, Japan's subtropical archipelago. The island is famous for its star sand, traditional houses, coral reefs, and crystal clear waters.
In this video, we're going to show you how to spend the perfect one day in Taketomi, including the best things to do, hidden gems, and the island's top attractions. As Taketomi is only home to 350 residents and 5.42 km², it can easily be explored by bicycle over the course of 5 or 6 hours.
