In their books happen different. In This series musashi look like a fool. He fights seijuro e wins easiely.

this scene shows Musashi when he was young and naive so I think it's accurate.

In the book this fight didn't happen at all. It's when he first shows up in the Yoshioka school as Shinmen Takezo. He defeats some students and Sejiuro is not there. They just don't meet. The second time they really meet Musashi wins
