We take a few days break from the hustle and bustle of the Amalfi Coast and drive down to Cilento to explore some wild swimming locations.

the Grotta del Santuario di San Michele Arcangelo (Cave with church)

A beautiful look at the Cilento. We were there looking for Padula, the town where my maternal grandmother was born. The fenomena of only "old men" in the piazza is real. It was Sunday when we arrived, and I guess all the women were cooking for the pranzo della domenica.

@@marielange9077 Padula is a very interesting place. However, there is only one restaurant in a hotel. This place is a real time warp. We did enjoy seeing it, but left the next day, because we were in a B&B at the top of the town, and there were no stores to buy even a little formaggio.

That is the most beautiful waterfall I have ever seen. An amazingly gorgeous spot for a day trip. I know what you mean about the charm of the deserted towns. My grand-parents are from Castelli in Abruzzo, which was destroyed in the earthquake of 2009. When my sister and her British artist husband came over for a visit, we went up to our ancestral homeland, Castelli. My brother-in-law did some fabulous water colors while there and he said he felt like he was on a movie set.

Excellent! Loved every second of this. Indie just makes me laugh because she is so much like my poodle. Very protective over food. Barks at strangers. It's fascinating to watch her become more comfortable with water. I've got to get my poodle in the water to see if he'll swim. My other dog is calm and cool like Holly. Again, the drone footage is incredible. Love seeing places I will probably never get to visit. Also, I wish I had watched your videos before we visited the town where my husband's family is from. The streets were empty and we felt like we were trespassing. Nice to know now that these towns are sleepy during the day and it's OK to walk around. Next time.... Keep cool!

In Denmark it's verden common and popular, to do "winther-bathing". 😊 In the very cold months, where it's no more than -10 to +10 degrees celsius, people jump into the cold water in lakes or the sea for a few seconds, just like you did, and often go into a sauna afterwards - saunas that are especially build to stand nearby. 😊 It releases endhorphines, that boosts your mood. There are clubs where members come, just with that purpose. 😊 Don't know if it excists anywhere else.
