I used to love going to restaurants in Italy with my relatives who knew the restauranteurs and telling them to bring us whatever they wanted us to eat. Everything we were served was a wonderful ,delicious surprise. What an immense privilege o have this experience in a country famed for its food! @@marielange9077 Padula is a very interesting place. However, there is only one restaurant in a hotel. This place is a real time warp. We did enjoy seeing it, but left the next day, because we were in a B&B at the top of the town, and there were no stores to buy even a little formaggio.

That is the most beautiful waterfall I have ever seen. An amazingly gorgeous spot for a day trip. I know what you mean about the charm of the deserted towns. My grand-parents are from Castelli in Abruzzo, which was destroyed in the earthquake of 2009. When my sister and her British artist husband came over for a visit, we went up to our ancestral homeland, Castelli. My brother-in-law did some fabulous water colors while there and he said he felt like he was on a movie set.

Excellent! Loved every second of this. Indie just makes me laugh because she is so much like my poodle. Very protective over food. Barks at strangers. It's fascinating to watch her become more comfortable with water. I've got to get my poodle in the water to see if he'll swim. My other dog is calm and cool like Holly. Again, the drone footage is incredible. Love seeing places I will probably never get to visit. Also, I wish I had watched your videos before we visited the town where my husband's family is from. The streets were empty and we felt like we were trespassing. Nice to know now that these towns are sleepy during the day and it's OK to walk around. Next time.... Keep cool!

OMG, for almost 30 yrs I’m in search of the name of a certain waterfall. My then Calabrian boyfriend had gifted me a selfmade poster of that beautiful spot. You can’t even imagine the goosbumps on my arms when my eyes recognized thé spot in this video but my brain still had to process the moment: Cascato Auso it is!! Thank you so,much!
