There’s nothing quite like listening to experienced hands talking about their craft. Thank you gentleman that was very informative from someone just starting out. But now starting to dig deeper and learning that was very informative. Thank you

What a nice interview and lens introduction. I love the little setup Carey Duffy is holding in his hands - already got the S1H, so only the lovely lens is left to be desired. Indeed, anamorphic is so different to spherical lens and so exciting, providing a completely new view on scenes - I regulargly use a little anamorphic lens with my iPhone, and even in such a cheap setup it povides a totally different atmoshphere to the shots. And interestingly, latest neuroscience says that the human brain loves this horizontally wide look going into the far distance because it stimulates a perfect combination of relaxation and involvement, motivation, and couriosity for the next things to come - for our forefathers many ten thousands of years ago, this wide look was key for survival when small hordes strolled aorund, looking for food, water, and shelter. So, during human evolution the connection of our eyes and brains where adapted to that broad view being critical for survival, involving strong hormon effects that go into every nerve and muscel of our bodies. In return, narrow field of view, like most of social media prefer on our smart phones, create neurobiological stress to our eye-brain system - I would count even the 4:3 aspect ratio under narrow from this perspective.
