Glad you enjoyed it! Yeah I wouldn't go out of my way to watch Heavy. It's an interesting concept, but it sadly doesn't take it anywhere. Definitely not somethink I would recommend people to watch over lets say Hajime no Ippo or Ashita no Joe. But if you've got like 50 minutes to kill and you're in the mood for some boxing, then maybe you can consider it

Yeah this seems to fit in just fine with the likes of Go!! Karate Club, Sukeban Deka, or Ayane's High Kick - the story isn't really good or bad but in no way average, just too much in a way. Could be fun, and half of these were made to promote a manga anyway, and not to be the perfect adaptation of it. Could be fun, guess ill check it out.

Yeah it's an ok 50 minutes. I wouldn't prioritize it tho

So... Maybe the manga's actually really good, it seems the movie has a lot of interesting things and since the manga is longer, maybe it expands on the themes of the movie

Maybe. But just looking at the covers of the 8 volumes makes me think it's just the same as what's in the anime. But yeah it might be better fleshed out still
