Thank you so much! I was able to repair my Miele Terrane motor, it had a broken terminal on one of the brushes. I would never have been able to do it without your video.

Thank you so much Sir for all your detailed instructions! I was able to fix my motor by re-soldering loose connector in the electronic box inside!

Hi You save date day in Scotland - just have had a hassle ordering new brushes so its Amazon and a wee bit of soldering I think when they arrive. Cheers Iain

Maybe I missed it being called out in the video - the nut is reverse threaded.

Any tips on how to diagnose that connector block? Mine doesn't appear burnt out at all, but when it is in place, the vacuum doesn't turn on. If I bypass it and connect 110v straight to the motor, the motor spins up fine. It makes me think that the connector block has some function in modulating the speed of the motor as controlled by the speed dial, and something on mine is burnt out and for some reason is not allowing any function. Do you have any tips for what to search for to buy a new block?

My motor doesn't turn on at all. All 3 wires in the plug coming into the motor are showing 120v when they're run through a mulitmeter while connected to an extension cord's neutral wire. Does this mean the motor has a short? Brushes are good, no sign of burning anywhere inside the motor.
