Bro nice job explaining what you are doing without wasting time! I learned a lot. Afer removing and cleaning my printhead my machine died - no power at all. I removed and tested power supply and it was fine at 41V. So I needed to get at mainboard hopefully find a fuse. It is entertaining to watch - the drama as you speed up and are less gentle in quest to get to empty shell! hahaha.

Help! I have a printer in this series that was suffering from a paper exit jam. (Inside was a mess - think there has been a cartridge leak and ink had partly dried out and gone sticky.) Whilst cleaning it up as I started to take off the screw holding down the lhs of the assembly containing the star wheels (opp side to print head) I noticed there was a springy bit of shaped metal wire that was sitting loosely on top - not sure if it was always loose or not and whether that that caused the jam issue (or it was the stickiness.) I can't work out how it is supposed to be attached /how to put it back. Looked at lots of your (and others) videos trying to see if I can see it in situ to give me an idea how it should go and I can't... so can you recommend one of your videos where I could see it? Do you know what it is for? I'd be very grateful for any advice you could give. Thanks in advance

Is there a video showing how to replace the Carriage belt?

I couldn't find one on KZbin and u do not have a video. I currently do not have this printer.

Congratulations on your great video! I have an Epson WF645 that has error with the message: "Printer error. Turn power off and then on again." and it does not move the print head. (It does not display any error code, just the message). Do you know what this defect is?
@303electronics Жыл бұрын
Thanks for your feedback. The error is most likely due to a full ink waste. You may need to find a way to buy a reset code online. Usually costs around $10. Replacing any parts or waste tank is not necessary, but recommended. If you just replace the tank, but will not reset the printer waste count, nothing will change.

Hello friend. Thanks for the quick response! I discovered the error, the fuse f1 was blown on the board. Now there is a new problem, it reports the following messages: "Cannot recognize the following cartridges. Install them correctly". and "Close the document cover, check for any jammed paper in the ADF."

my epson wf 633 has the on, wifi, auto answer lights blinking green. nothing works. is it dead?

So where is the memory or hard drive where scanned documents are stored? Want to disposed of a printer but it was dead before I could erase the memory.

My Workforce 633 has the "end of life" message or the waste ink reservoir. You indicted it's location at the end of your video, but nothing about how to remove it. Can the reservoir be accessed from the bottom of the printer without doing the complete disassembly that you have shown???
@303electronics3 жыл бұрын
Yes, I think the reservoir is at accessible from the bottom. Cleaning it and changing it will not remove the error. You will probably need to reset the error. I buy the reszet key online for around $10. I used www.resetkey.net Search your printer model on their website.

Hi, I have a printer error 'ink pads have reached the end of their service life' message on my workforce 633. Do you have video on how to deal with that?

Hi! I have a WF 635. It is jamming, but only during duplex printing. It prints the first page fine, then it will take the page back in before it signals that there's a jam. When I hit ok a few times the jam will come out and clear on its own. The paper comes out clean and flat. The paper stops just shy of being printed on. Any ideas?
@303electronics3 жыл бұрын
Hi. Pull out the duplex unit and do these two things- 1. Check to make sure all the gears spin when you spin one gear or spin the rubber rollers. If one of the rollers is out, push it in. And 2. Clean the rubber on the duplex rollers. Use windex on paper towel or warm water. I also use alcohol, but not many people like that idea since it may dry up rubber sometimes. It always works for me. Please let me know how that goes. Thanks.

@@303electronics Thanks for the suggestions! Everything spins and has been cleaned, but it still refuses to print the second side.

@@303electronics Hello! I finally got around to trying this. It still didn't work. It is the weirdest thing. It only jams on page 2 of duplex printing and their is no visible jamming. It's like it just decides it doesn't want to print.

My Workforce 630 loses it's date/time setting so I'm trying to figure out where the battery is at. You mention a "power supply", is that the battery that retains the clock or is there a button battery hidden somewhere? (or possibly a cap) Thanks.
@303electronics3 жыл бұрын
Hi. The date and time setting will be erased every time the printer is unplugged. The battery is on the main board usually, not sure if there is one in this model.
@MG_Sid3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for responding. I think mine loses time when even left plugged in. When I power it off it loses it. Oh well. I was hoping it would be an easy fix like getting a battery or a capacitor.

@@MG_Sid I have the same problem - even if it stays plugged in it loses the time/date. Did you ever find a solution to this?

Waste ink tank needs to be done. I gotta do some plumbing job on this type of printer. By the way, I have Workforce 545.

I have a WF 545 that when I turn it on I get an error message that tells me to shut the printer off and turn it back on again, but every time I do that I get the same message. There is no movement of any part and I have even disconnected the power for 30 minutes and then over night. I cannot find any documentation on troubleshooting this problem. If anyone can help, I would greatly appreciate it. Epson told me it is out of Warranty and to take it to a service center, but I believe it will be cheaper to purchase a new printer than having it repaired. Thank You if you can help !!

Hi. Is there a specific error message or code besides the instructions to restart the printer?
@richardhoughtonjr11432 жыл бұрын
@@303electronics No, there is no specific error or message code. The only thing I had done to the printer was remove the print head to clean it with a cleaning solution I had ordered from Wal Mart. It was working fine prior to that except for the ink getting dried out. Thanks for your help !!
